How many Base Directories can support DAZ Studio 4?

in The Commons
Just now, I have 20 Base Directories, but I want to know if DAZ Studio (4.15 in my case) can support thousands of base directories, each with its own individual data, People, Runtime etc folders, in the same way used by connect.
I want to test the behavior with one directory per product (or related products), but I don’t know if the ability to handle indvidual directories by product is only efficient on connect, or is typical of everything DAZ Studio.
Right now it works well, but I don't want to reach the thousand of elements and discover that DS4 is unable to handle the Content Folder or the Smart Content.

Well, I think it would have a severe impact on performance before anything dire happened ayway, but if you did hit a hard limit you could always merge some of the directories - DS and the database use relative paths, only DIM stores absolute.
Excellent, good idea,thank you.
I don't know if this will apply to the latest version if anything has changed since 4.8, however since this might provide some insight, I'm using 5490 directories at the moment in 4.8. It runs fine during use, however it takes DS a very very long time to start, and also a very long time to scan through them in the content library when I add new ones although I can't say if that's due to the number of folders or just the quantity of content. I also can't use the standard content library export anymore (unsure of reason) and just back the database up directly. However I'm comfortable with the arrangement, I just do something else while it's starting.
