DAZ 4.15 Rendering

The new version of DAZ I have not so far had any issues with although i know others have, but has an update for iray been done in this version ? I am rendering out at over 5000 to 7000 px, and the render time seems to have decreased (speeded up), it is just me or have others found the same or worse issues.

time decreased dosnt like an issue :)

im just tasting the g8.1 and i  have crashed once by using the face control, and 1 by switching from a pbr viewport to the other viewport with active iray

for still renderings looks good, dont know about animation or other more advanced tools

    edit: tasting lol :D

    update:

i am rendering almost the same scene from yesterday, i think its a little smaller, in terms of resources impact

i was testing yesterday with multiple and single GPU

i cant remember exactly but it took, for 500 iterations: 2.4 minutes with 1070+2060 3.1 with only 2060

now i have 2.5 with  2060 only, is around h1400x2000 against the 1400x2450 of yesterday with the 4.14

For me, it is much worse. Rendering takes up more memory, and now I get black screens. Not really happy with 4.15

  • Thanks Guys, taking a look around th forum it would seem 4.15 is not poular

  • I have had my renders sped up on my desktop but on my laptop it seems to be the same. With the introduction of filament, I've been experimenting with that to make ren

ders that are close to Iray quality since filament takes seconds and iray takes minutes/hours

Installed 4.15.0.2 last weekend and so far the only glitch I have found is that items using cutout opacity look transparent in Texture Shaded Viewport (Iray Viewport is still too slow with my RTX 2070 Super).

Iray seems to render somewhat faster than it did with 4.12.0.86 though.

    i7-5820K, X99, 64GB DDR4, RTX 2070 Super (456.38 drivers) with Windows 7 Ultimate + a whole lot of storage space.

even unwinllingly, i moved to W10 with no particluar issues in therms of old software/hardware compatibility, its a possible reason

i still have a mower with w7 but i will upgrade it soon
