Need more 8.1 content

in The Commons

In my opinion Genesis 8.1 and Victoria 8.1 are great products. Now I need more content:

- Genesis 8.1 face and body morphs

- a tanned skin without freckles

- some makeup, fingernails and lip color options

- new, better hair

    All G8 content works fine on G8.1 including all the morphs, skin, nails and makeup... The body mesh hasn’t changed at all, just the face and UV.

    why would hair be 8.1 content, not like they introduced a new hair system with 8.1

    Genesis 8.1 can already use Genesis 8 face and body morphs, it doesn't need new ones.

    What it does need is a converter like X-Transfer to convert G8 expressions to G8.1.. SInce right not the bulk of G8 expressions do not work with G8.1.. The funny thing is that using X-Transferred G3 expressions work totally fine..

    Daz has done an amazing job on the new Genesis 8.1 update IMHO. I totally agree with the OP, we definitely need more content.

    Well after doing a bit of digging and reading another thread, I found that with the changes to Genesis 8.1.. They changed the folder naming for expressions, and why Genesis 8 expressions do not work correctly as most folks would expect.. So it is true that not all Genesis 8 expressions work as they should more so the PA made ones..

    Should have said more "photorealism" content. Hair products are woefully lagging. I know you don't snap your fingers and POOF you got it but I would have liked the effort to create 8.1 had gone into CONTENT improvements. For someone like me, 8.1 doesn't give me anything I can't get from 8.0. I still have to fix clothing issues, do post work to make clothes and props look more real, and I've even resorted to using hair from live models I've photographed.

    When you remove the expression placeholders that G8.1F installs into Genesis 8.1 female, DAZ 3D morph folders, all the expressions do start working, also the PA made ones that are calling those expressions which were made non functioning by the placeholders.

    Thank you for that bit of info, who knew that removing the Base Pose Head folder (not me by the way) would fix the problem, the issue though is that it was not obvious.. lol In the end though, those who do not know this, will be wondering WTH is going on and would get a bit miffed.. smiley

    But OT yeah would love to see more content for 8.1 and a lot of fixes for scripts and so on to work with Genesis 8.1..
