Hello Everyone,

How can I create a material preset that includes both the full body texture map and the genital texture map together (as one new material preset)?
Thanks for your help on this.

Eric

A hierarchical material preset should work

  • Not sure what that is and where to find it?

A hierarchical material preset is a preset meant to be applied to a figure and some items parented to it. That's what is used to apply G8 materials to both the figure and eyelashes (which are also a geograft), for example.

Make sure the geograft is parented to your figure, select the figure and select "Save as > Hierarchical material preset" from the menu. Once you've selected where to save it you'll get an option window where you can select which nodes to save.

The Hierarchical Material Preset save is very limited by default. If you want control of what settings to include or exclude in a HMP, among other things, I recommend:  https://www.daz3d.com/md-hierarchical-material-suite-pro

But yeah, for just a full set of everything currently applied to the figure and the conformer, the default one is good.

Is this correct? The HMP dialog does let you select with of the child objects will have their details saved in the preset, or am I misunderstanding what the limitation of the default HMP is?

The default one won't let you choose to only affect the emission channel for example (you can do this with a regular material preset but not the H-MP). You can only choose to affect ALL the surface properties or none (inlcuding or excluding whole figures/props) with HMP.
