"Cannot be used to purchase previously owned items at a lower price."

Question: Two days ago I bought some PC+ items, and now they are 50% off.  I used to work in retail, so you ALWAYS have to read the fine print with deals and specials.

I remember DAZ had given a price adjustment when an item had gone to a lower price (within 30 days, I believe).  However, this was before the "Cannot be used to purchase previously owned items at a lower price."

So does this little caveat exclude price adjustments?  I'm not buying a new item today in order to get the older items cheaper.  In a nutshell, I bought 6 items for $29.95, but today it'd be $14.97.

Thanks for your responses in advance!

DAZ is the only one who can answer that. To get a proper answer, you would probably have to contact the sales team. It's a good question that I've wondered myself. I would hope they would still honor a price adjustment within the 30 day window. It seems like it would be good business.

Since they say the current price can't be used to get an item you already own cheaper I seriously doubt they would give you a refund for the difference. It's worth asking (via a support ticket) to get an offficial answer though.

"Cannot be used to purchase previously owned items at a lower price." keeps getting used more and more. Now it seems to be used for almost every sale and that really reduces the long standing policy of having a 30 day "low price guarantee". Accordingly I am now limiting my purchases a lot more in the hopes of getting a lower price later.

I haven't noticed it being used more and more, but that could just be my perception.

  • I've gotten a reufnd for the difference before when something went on sale the next day, even though the sale had that caveat. I'd ask if I were you. What have you got to lose?

I work on Fast Grab of 70% being a decent level to start at. I might look if it's only 60%, but I aim for 70 plus.
