Saturday morning and I have one MAJOR complaint!

They're renovating rooms here and this morning they started on BOTH MY NEIGHBORING ROOMS, so on both sides of me I have people hammering, banging, dragging, and cranking loud mariachi music - at 7AM! :shut: :ahhh:

Once I get my computer work done, I'm going to head out and find something to do elsewhere until they quit and go home. :shut:

Also, was out of Treehouse Blend so I'm back to the old grind! %-P

    ahhh the cacophony of renovations

wish i had a local coffee shop i could walk to with my netbook, work on chapters.

Same here. I'm writing a bit as I wake up, listening to Ravel's Bolero now, making another cuppa.

They're up to ripping the carpet out now, less hammering, but lots of cursing in Spanish. :blank:

Seriously super-long render running, too. Urgh.

Well, about Noon I'll go out for lunch, then drop off some toys at the bar - the bartender's bike club is doing a toy ride to collect toys for a local church to hand out, and while I'm not Christian I think most kids deserve a toy, so... :red: :red: :red:

I wonder if Firefox's Greasemonkey script is interfering with the way Firefox displays Daz's webpage.

Nice render TroutFace. I haven't played with Aiko 5 much.

I get some display weirdness at work in the new store, from home is fine.. IE at work, Chrome here.

I don't use the few Genesis 1 characters I have, but I decided to experiment and see how it worked out. She renders pretty nicely.

    And thanks :red: :red:

Playing with shaders now.. much fun! :)

Cool. Looks sort of like an image shot with infrared film.

I don't think any of those scripts work anymore. I hear he abandoned them because the way DAZ3D keeps changing things. I really liked the wishlist one, too. It hasn't worked in a while.

...there are three where I live but they all have lousy seating arrangements which allow other people to easily look over and watch what you are doing as well as not enough outlets. At one, the seating almost makes you almost feel you are on a bus as the tables and chairs are so close together.

Glad I have my connection from home back

...from all the horror stories I've been reading, not sure if I should make any purchases from the new store right now.

I notice on my workstation I'm getting text overlapping other elements on the screen when I'm in the forums there (I only do so to attach a pic to a post so I don't have to deal with the bother of transferring it to the notebook via flash drive). Seems the new format doesn't like wide screen displays very much. Haven't looked at the store site from there yet and not sure if I want to considering I'm having brekkie right now.

    ...big football day.

Wisky makes it three wins in a row (34 - 16 over Purdue) albeit against relatively bad opponents. Still "W" is a "W". Next week a real test though as the division leading Huskers come to Camp Randall.

Meanwhile Arizona State is puttin' a lickin' on the Irish, 34 - 3 with minutes to go in the first half. Irish committed 3 turnovers, one a "pick 6" from about midfield.

...but just like that, a huge pass play for ND down to the ASU 17 followed by a TD now a bit more "respectable", 34 - 10

Upset Alert in the making. #3 Auburn down 35 - 17 to Texas A&M on a blocked filed goal that was run back by A&M for a TD with 9 seconds left in the half.

Is this new store actually new software, or just a new face on the same software?

Either way, why don't they thoroughly test it before releasing it? Every. Single. Time.

And...who do I talk to in order to make my request known about the wishlist stuff?

...as well as for me fine Pinot Grigio

    Anyway major complaints tonight.

--Tired of being a second (maybe third) class citizen to the automobile. Was walking home after picking up my usual slices of Saturday Night Pizza. While I was crossing the entrance to the car park of the natural food mart someone decided to turn into the lot and kept driving at me while was clearly in their path. So, I do the "eye contact' thing only to get a dirty look from the diver of the car while which the front bumper bumper is scant inches from my legs and still moving towards me. (where I live pedestrians in a sidewalk in the process of crossing a driveway have total right of way). Guess his tofu, sprouts, and Kombucha were more important than my well being. "Save the planet, just stay out of my way". ;-). Earlier this afternoon was almost hit by someone who made a turn without using their turn signal.

--the site: Here is what I just posted on the 'Is the beta live?" thread a few minutes ago:
    ...this is getting ridiculous.

Got back online after being way for the afternoon, clicked a link in a reminder email for a specific thread, found I was logged out. OK that's happened before. However when clicked on "log in" t the top of the page I was first, I was sent to the store front page not the thread I was on. Second and subsequent attempts kept sending me to my account page instead of the thread I was on, requiring me to finally manually navigate back to the thread in I intended to read. After logging out and back in again, I closed the tab, clicked on the thread link in the email again, only to find I was back in "logged out" status again.

I'm sorry, but this is absolute rubbish. Even clearing cache and cookies (which I have done fairly often in the last few days) didn't help.

...the thread link I was clicking on was for here.

    OK non complaints:

    --Notre Dame was pummeled 55 - 31.
--Auburn almost came back in the second half, but two fumbles on their last two possessions were the nails in the coffin. This seriously helps Oregon.(who of course needs to win tonight against Utah).
--Ohio State is ahead of Sparty, 28 - 21 at the half.
--One last nice fall day today, for tomorrow and the next week, it rains.

In the olden days cars were sposed to get smaller and have failsafe auto navigation. Instead they got bigger and come with not safe manual navigation
