Seriously looking forward to this release. It looks perfect for designing all manner of superhero outfits, as well as having countless sci-fi applications to name just a few. Out of curiosity, what character fits are going to be included?

Hehe, no worries ... admittedly your post gave me pause for a sec but I figured it was genuine interest. ;)
Since I am ok with people using my generic G-Suit textures for non commercial stuff it would be relatively easy to do nice genre stuff. The spandex mats from the base set should be suitable, and the superheroine add-on also adds a more modern generic heroine material.

Since it`s apparently no problem to share genre renders, I don`t really see why sharing materials would be any different.
Still, I am no expert, but I am sure we can figure it out next week.

Sharing such "material Presets" would be restricted by the source or the surfaces in that material Preset, and what the terms of the merchant resource are for the surface shader presets used. If, If, If...

For example, I don't thing Fisty would be particularly happy with me, If I gave away the "Phoebe's Fancy" shader set, as part of a preset for this suit, lol. However, That would be my burden to bear, not yours Flipmode.

Be mindful of where the silk/leather/cloth/etc textures came from that are in such shared suit style presets/maps/etc.

Phoebe's fancy is a merchant resource. But you have to put it on a template.. wouldn't be too hard though.

Hey Flipmode, that is Awesome, I will be getting that, just one question:

Will there be a matching G2M version as well? I sure hope so, it would put an old project of mine back in the running !

and as Fisty tested as well...

That last one reminds me of the two sizes to small outfits from The Next Generation, Gene Roddenberry did not want wrinkles or something, lol

I was thinking on the terms of say. the legs is this shader preset unchanged set to tile-x, and the chest being a map for some super-hero patron or something.

Sharing the complete nothing other then the suit required zip for such an outfit, would also contain that shader on the legs. That is what I was thinking may not be allowed by some.

I'm assuming all the different zones in that the zones demo pics, are accessible in the surface tab in daz studio.

    Thanks :) Fits are:
Female Base, Victoria 6, Stephanie 6, Giselle, Lilith 6, TeenJosie, Olympia, Gia, Girl 6, Aiko 6, Fitness, Bodybuilder
    -

Thanks zarcondeegrissom for steping in with zug22`s question.

No worries about source materials, I don`t think that would be an issue.
I work rather texture based, so all materials run the standard Daz Studio preset shader.
Textures themselves are based on free sources and have been modified and worked over by me for years now.
Adding to it, they are only properly useable with G-Suit2.

    Edit
Yes, those "color code" images are supposed to show the material zones which are available in the surface tab.
For those who want to take it to 2D tools like photoshop there are also matching templates available (up on the info page since yesterday)

    Late Edit #2
Sorry zarcondeegrissom, slow thinking here, I shouldn`t post before my first coffee.
Well, I suppose most people would just modify the included textures/shaders, so usually the sharing bit won`t be an issue.
But you make a good point, I should at least put a warning about it on the info page.

it's OK, we've all had our 'low coffee level' days, lol. And I'm now reading missing words that would have made that a tad clearer. :red:

I'm just now seeing two sets I must have, and don't know how I missed them. The Mountain Rite, and Roman Bath. I could have used them in a few renders I've already done, lol.

In any case, I've looked threw the site, and it looks good. Almost counting hours to the buy-now.
I must be off to purchase, of all things, another can of coffee, lol.

That`s two oldies you found there ;)
Mountain Rite was pre-skybox times though, just saying so you don`t expect an easy environments style background.
Trust me, noone is counting the hours like me...looking forward to see this thing out in the wild.

That set still rocks in the promos, thats what had me sold. Is it difficult to find and load in Studio, or is it just the surfaces that are 'old'? I have the DG and Fisty shader sets, that is easy to fix.
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/656330/

It's OK. I just got a few big items out of my wishlist. that "As You Wish" bundle has been sitting there for way to long, lol.

Now to purge some "Will buy that" lists. There is a few others including this that I want, I'm not done shopping yet.

Lol, it took me a while to find it myself. ;)
It`s poser format hidden in the "figures" section, surfaces load properly.

I just went to look at the pics of that again, to get an idea of what rocks I need to get pics of from my geology collection. There doing that with the prices to tees me aren't they, lol.

That set will work perfect with "top of the world" (I have that).
    Spontaneous sale there. :cheese:

Absolutely, I just hit the buy-now. I'm even thinking I may be able to use this to get around making my own set of arm bands, possibly (fingers crossed).
It would be nice if I don't have to go threw the rigging that some one else already did, and I don't know how to do.

Also looking forward to finding that "Mountain Rite" set in my CL somewhere and giving it a try.

Thanks wilmap. Yes, I know it`s a ton of morph dials ... seeing the list on the store page had my own eyes pop out.
It helps to keep in mind the dials are color coded as described here . I usually start by setting a morph to 100% in order to see some movement in the viewport, once I know I have the right one I dial it back to the value I want.

I'm even thinking I may be able to use this to get around making my own set of arm bands, possibly (fingers crossed).

I don`t know what exactly you aim for, but I am confident it can be done. The Superheroines set has partial preloads which may be a good starting point.

Just to add the official ...it`s released ;)
    Store Link: G-Suit2HD

Here`s two additional generic presets you can add to the library. Maybe it`s also useful as demo for packing in case you want to share your own creations. There is no meta-data for those, so you`ll have to load them from the content library. The blue one requires the Superheroines addon, the casual style works with the base set.

...only to land straight into my shopping cart. I'll post some renders as soon as they finish. It's already proving to be incredibly versatile. My only lament now is that there aren't any dynamic capes for Genesis 2. Despite what Edna mode says, capes make outfits cooler.

It would take an incredible bump-map with this suit to achieve what I'm looking for elsewhere, simple cloth arm-wraps.

The set used in these promos. enough said on that, back to this suit.

I need to fire up DIM in a bit, and install it. And thanks for the bonus texture set, I can't wait to try it out.

You can get real close with the HD morphs.

Okay, I've played around with this for a while now and... wow... This suit is like the swiss army knife of outfits! The HD morphs give an incredible amount of freedom in what you make, and something I'm very pleased to see is the 'relax' morphs so that the suit isn't quite so clingy in places. The attention to detail boggles the mind, so I dare not ask how long this took you to make from start to finish.

Suffice to say, it's going to see a lot of use from me. It also plays nicely with Slosh's Galactic Force boots :D

Edit: One curio though. Whenever I use the 'light cam' to position distant lights or similar, the suit oddly goes invisible. It was quite odd to see the figure suddenly stark naked when I positioned the lights. Not sure why it occurs, or even if it can be fixed. But it's not a serious issue, as going back to a normal view makes the suit reappear.

    Just an unexplained oddity.

thanks so much. and an opacity map on the next zone up the arm, to fill in the entire forearm. :cheese:
    (EDIT 18dec2014)
FYI, that is "FatF" in the Parameters tab under "Morphs" category. Specifically the "FatF_Arms_Lower" sliders, and possibly a few of the neighbors as well.

I`ll leave that to you for now. ;) The next zone reaches to the upper arm indeed (because right at the bend distortions would be likely).

    Good point tjohn.
I gave it a quick test, just loaded it and picked "full-body" on Autofit.
It seems to work quite well imo, see image.
For posed M6 (left) I had to play with the expand_body slider a bit since there was mini poke-through, could have done it with mesh smoothing too I guess.
The kneeling figure to the right is male base, no adjustments made to the suit.
However, obviously there are no custom shape adjustments (FBMs) included, so some edges of the material zones will distort, similar to using it with an unsupported female figure.

Anyway, I just wanted to check out tjohn`s suggestion, it`s still a set for females!

The other option would be to use http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-cross-figure-resource-kit which will usually give you better results than Autofit between G2F and G2M. (Though tops are definitely hit and miss.)

No, I, personally, have not tried it in this case but that has been my general experience.

Ops, not sure when you edited this in ;)
I have seen this happen with other items too, but no clue where it comes from. First thought was transparencies, but that doesn`t seem to be the case.
Ah ok, did some testing while I was typing and found it ... items which don`t cast shadows are ignored by the light-cam.
"Cast Shadows" is off by default for the G-Suit2HD, because in most cases it doesn`t make much sense on a skin-tight outfit.
Of course you can turn it on if you want under Parameters/Display.

Morning y'all. I spent last night looking over the G-suit2 manual page, a few times, and renderd nothing till just now.
    http://flipmode3d.com/g-suit2hd-info/
I literally just restarted Daz Studio after a different non-Gsuit oddity. Gogo rendered pure white, lol.

There are a few items like this that have oddities. Some sky-domes don't stay "visible in render" on, after saving the scene, and loading that saved scene. This all-white shader goof-up. etc. That cast shadows off, is a good note to keep in mind, when anyone needs it on for detailed shadows on walls and floors.

Understandable reason for having it off by default tho.
PS, yes I really like the X-tech-dreads as well, good choice.

Some squeamish individuals may notice an oddity with Gogo that has been an issue for me in the past with some outfits having non-fixable devastating Poke-threw. At least the Gsuit2 has no issue here, I would still like to turn them off for some things, and I have yet to find the shaping slider to do so...

"Gogo for Mei Lin 6" probably is not the only figure to have no slider to make the nipples go away, to be more realistic for a tight shirt or suit.
