Maybe stay in all day Sunday instead. There's a huge college game on today and the bar will have free food! :ahhh:

Downloading and installing content, just installed a new software musical instrument called "Dark Planet" and it's super-cool!

...new Weather Channel site no longer has their "misery index". Feels like I'm on YouTube when I first sign on as it devotes more space to videos than to listing the current conditions.

You should get one of those pour over rigs like TroutFace has. Very nice and simple, no mechanical parts to break or wear out. True, you have to make each cup separately, but the resulting brew is worth it.

Morning, City towers and roofs and paving haz the shinning after soaking rain overnight, no flooding where we are altho further north some places are a bit trashed as storms overcome drains and creeks. The river near us is running high but not looking like rising any higher. Meanwhile a few tiny bedraggled sparrows are foraging for food amongst our roses and complaing loudly about all the wet :)

I got Kurt a new tank that is better suited for him. Now that leaves the twenty gallon tank to get ready to become a salt water tank.

...up a bit late last night. Had to go out and get away from the computer for a while. Was doing some research for the contract project a good part of the afternoon.

Oregon Stomped all over Arizona last night 51 - 13. to win the Pac12 Title. Almost would have been 51 - 7 though a shanked punt that went out of bounds with only 7 seconds to go gave it to the Wildcats on the Ducks' 25 yard line. Not that anyone on the Ducks' sideline really cared.

Wisconsin and Ohio State in about 30 minutes.

They got some needed rain over in southern California the other day, too! It's been raining here, too, all day. And yesterday. I just heard my sump pump going a little while ago. That's a lot of water in the ground when that kicks in.

...need a few after that game.

I figured Wisky would have a tough time against Ohio State, but losing 59 - 0? That is beyond embarrassing. This is the first Time the Badgers have been shut out in 14 years (1997 against Syracuse) and the first ever shutout in the Big Ten championship game. Ohio State did what they needed to do, contain explosive Running Back Melvin Gordon to under 100 yards (76) who averaged well over 200 yards per game (and who broke both school and Big Ten record, rushing for 408 yards against Nebraska in a "must win" game a couple weeks ago) . Once that happened, Wisconsin had to rely on it's passing game which is pretty abominable (save for the one year that Russell Wilson was there). Three interceptions and a fumble by Wisky's starting QB total, that doesn't win you games. The sad part is we were plying against OSU's backup QB after their starter went down last week with a broken ankle. The Wisconsin Defence, which has been stingy all year, looked like they never got off the bus in Indianapolis tonight.

Were it up to me, I wouldn't even give them a bowl invitation after laying this egg. Most likely though they'll get invited to some pointless corporate named bowl like the Tax Slayer Bowl or Foster Farms "Chicken Bowl" (yep, those are for real). Yeah, those bowls have a lot of history and tradition behind them.

...almost feel embarrassed to say I went to school there.

At least Oregon looks like a real championship team.
