#1 they got Kirk out of his shirt for this scene

#2 doh, can't think of a single meme quote for this

..and look at the 'doo on the gal in the silver bikini. Gotta love the 60s.

    Gamesters of Triskelion

The actress was Angelique Pettyjohn. She sold a ton of posters at Star Trek conventions. Almost as many as Jane Fonda from doing Barbarella...

remember the episode, they were moving too fast to be seen? she had a kewl outfit, one side was all open.
...the fast moving race were the Scalosians from the episode tilted Wink of an Eye.

In The Gamesters of Triskelion, Kirk Uhura and Chekov were transported to a planet where members of different races were forced to become gladiators (called Thralls) in arena combats that were wagered on by being's known as the "Keepers"(basically several glowing brains). This is where the word "quatloo" came from which was the currency the Keepers made their wagers in.

The name of the race the character Shahna (played by Ms Pettyjohn) came from was never revealed in the episode.

    ...yeah, letting my geekness show.

...strange storm. Lots of wind but no rain and actually stayed pretty clear over the city most of the day. Usually windstorms at this time of year are accompanied by heavy persistent rain. Seems the rain clouds have been unable to make it over the West Hills

Major gusts recorded, including 67 mph at at the airport, 71 mph in Newberg just southwest of the city, and 89 mph out on the central Oregon coast. So far no damage in the local neighbourhood though the lights have flickered a couple times. On the West side over 40,000 homes lost power, and the light rail tram has experienced service disruptions system wide due to power outages and debris on the tracks.

Wind still howling out there but should subside in a couple hours.

Today, DAZ made me sad. >:-(

    Because of this.

(Note: it is a rant, and it is not a funny rant, because it is a very unpleasant and serious topic and some very bad words are mentioned. If you'd rather not read some thoughts about politics of art and words used, don't click on the link. But the fact is, I can haz sads now. And I didn't know where else to share it, so I wrote it down in my dA and linked so people can talk about it with me at dA if they prefer.)

Fred looks like a poinsettia according to Google.

Those Google Maps spy planes are everywhere.

    LOL!

Somebody called my government phone saying that I am going to be sued and get waged garnished. What bothers me is that they used my government phone instead of my Virgin Mobile phone. I do not give out my government phone number. Why would they use that number instead of mailing me something or using the correct phone?

Sounds like a scam, using an auto-dialer. Beware!

    Friday, Payday! :cheese:

Was going to buy some sample packs for making tunes, but spent the money on fancy coffee from Seattle Coffee Gear! Velton's Blend Holiday Special coffee and Twilight Blend, both whole bean (which keeps fresh longer). :) Should arrive before Christmas, so I can have fancy Christmas coffee to sip! :cheese:

Need to lay down some tracks this weekend.. my SoundCloud is feeling neglected.. :snake:

    SHOPPING SPREE! :ahhh: :ahhh:

Bought 2 bags of whole bean coffee, yum! Then, while trying to find a good source for my glucose test strips, discovered the second-best rated meter (right under mine) had test strips 1/3 of the price of those for my meter :bug: (Freestyle Lite strips, $80 for 50, Bayer Contour Next test strips, $18 for 50).. so it was actually cheaper to buy the new meter AND test strips than just the test strips for my current meter! :bug: So, ordered both of those (lol). THEN.. OMG some of Ron's Brushes in Fastgrab! :gulp: Since I've really been getting into Photoshop, bought two of 'em. :red:

Bank run completed, McNuggets and hot mustard for lunch.. burp! Excuse me... :red:

Sipping a nice hot latte' now..

...Looking at Ron's Explosions however these are .psd layers rather than brushes. so not sure if they would work in Gimp.

I suspect not. ABR support in Gimp was.. ok.. when I used it. I'd say it was risky. :blank:
