Yeah. Thanks!
Be you using the latest version ? (4.7)
Oi be using the latest version.
Ever since upgrading to the newest iteration, I get this error message after quitting DAZ. ... Not right away, but after about 10-15 mins of 'other stuff' on the PC the error will pop-up announcing the DAZ is failing to respond, and asking what I want to do about it (Wait for it to change it's mind? or quit the program! etc. etc.)
This used to happen every time after exiting with one of the Betas, and some two, or three versions ago, but it was 'fixed' in the last couple of versions.
Another thing which has re-appeared is the annoying habit of deciding to 'optimise frames 1 to 86' when I press 'render'
to a still 'png' or 'jpg' render. Doesn't happen every time, but when it rears it's ugly head now I quit DAZ straight-way, because it takes a yonk to go through the process, frame by frame, clogs up the backend with all those 'temp' files, and then.. when it eventually begins the actual render,...IT CRASHES ANYWAY!
A most annoying result of this :blank: (as if that wasn't enough!) having got the error-while-rendering message (which one might be allowed to think that the render has now quit!) I am prevented from further attempts at rendering, for when I try, I get politely (but firmly) told that "this is impossible, as DAZ is currently rendering!" :smirk:
However! If everything worked as we expected, life might just turn out to be too much of a bore

...Am using the current "stable" (for what it's worth) release, not a beta.
Never had this happen since installing it until last night which is why I feel it my have something to do with disabling Reality4.
Since I only create single scenes, I let the optimisation process run its course. Yeah it's a bother but better than having errors pop up in the rendering dialogue or having it crash because it chokes on a shader setting.
When you get the error that says the render engine is in use, that means something is caught in a loop. I get this once in while. You just have to save the scene (if you haven't done so already) and exit.
...You better watch out
You better go hide
Get your shotgun
I'm telling you why
Zombie Claus is coming to town.. He's shambling along
On his holiday quest
Hoping to find
Which brains are the best
Zombie Claus is coming to town He'll find you if you/re sleeping
He'll find you if you're awake
Doesn't care if you've been bad or good
All he want's is your brains to taste Ohhhhh! You better watch out
You better go hide
Get your shotgun
I'm telling you why
Zombie Claus is coming to town..
Bravo!
My bus is running forty to fifty minutes late.
A local college radio station was spoofing Christmas music the other day. First they played a Christmas song as done by The Pogues, in their typical drunken fashion. Then they played a spoof based on "Give Peace a Chance" by John Lennon. The song was "Give Booze a Chance."
And for all your drinking exercises this holiday season, I submit a recipe for Mayan Coffee. It's similar to Mexican Coffee or Spanish Coffee.
Mayan Coffee:
First, you take a wine glass, dip the rim in Kahlua, then in sugar and flame it gently over a lit can of Sterno. Don't drink the Sterno! This step caramelizes the sugar and produces an exquisite taste sensation when drinking.
Add one shot of Kahlua, one shot of Tequila (optional), and the secret ingredient, one shot of Xtabentún. Fill almost to the rim with coffee, then top with whipped cream. Salud!
If you don't like Anise, you can omit the Xtabentún, but then it's Mexican Coffee. If you like Anise, but can't find Xtabentún, Anisette would be a good substitute. Xtabentún is honey based with Anise. The flowers the honey comes from supposedly grew on the side of the pyramid at Chichen Itza. Local legend has it that the flowers first grew on the grave of a kind hearted woman who made her living by less than moral means...
