Between the glass of potato wodka and that scene, feeling just a bit warmer.

I need that lotto to come through so I can head south for the winter like birds do (and then north when it shows up in the other hemisphere).

imagine waking up christmas morning with a winning lotto ticket? double sigh

...would love to have one tomorrow, 61st trip around the local stellar primary for me.

    Happy Birthday? :cheese:

    ...bugger more site issue idiocy,

I get a screen where everything looks washed out with a perpetual swirly on it. Happens with either the link or when I go directly to the gallery. to look up the pic.

Oh, I saw those. I looked at the promos and thought that they weren't that impressive. The one with the girl in the shower looked...odd. but that one looks pretty good.

+1 ... the girl in the shower looks more like a girl behind a very small bead curtain - droplets too regular imho o.o

Sun is setting on the longest day of summer here, is kinda dreary grey to match the thought that from now on every night gets a lil bit longer  Spent two nights out of the city this past week, was so overcast both times that couldn't see any stars. Still can't see any stars *sigh* On the upside no commitments for the next week yay  More night == more stars yay

    The Monday Before Christmas
    (apologies to Mr. Moore)

'Twas the Monday before Christmas, I opened my eyes,
Then sprang to my laptop, expecting surprise.
There would be a new Freebie, perhaps even two,
I checked on my email and deleted a few.

Where is the Daz email? I suddenly spied it,
And clicked it to open to see what was inside it.
I scrolled through new items (their prices were higher)
There were TWO brand new Freebies! My mind was on fire!

I clicked on the first one and got a surprise,
What a shock! I couldn't believe my own eyes!
I clicked on the other, and the same thing occurred,
A big "404 - Not Found" was the word.

Love it. We have sent a sternly worded reprimand to Santa's elves about their dereliction of duty, but I guess they are all still sleeping it off.

Brilliant! But at least you got an email.

Am I missing a setting somewhere to get the newsletters? The last email I got from Daz that wasn't an invoice or forum notification was in June, ironically saying I'm now subscribed to the newsletter. The Help Center says to select the relevant option in 'My Account' to subscribe or unsubscribe but I've been through My Account a dozen times and can't find anything to do with newsletters anywhere.

so this is what Mondays look like from the outside. :)

i want to install carrara on my dayjob compie. don't know if i'd get in trouble. just the basics installed, want to practice modeling in it.

better to ask forgiveness than ask permission?

I wouldn't...it's your job, not playschool. Rather than forgiveness, you might be asking for a good reference and your last paycheck.

It's pretty dead here today. Very quiet, most people are out.. but I need at least 18 hours this week for bills, so here I am, wiring up some circuits. Feh, fiddly work with teeny tiny components, very frustrating. :shut:

Grabbed more freebies, will install tonight. Fun times! Football tonight, need to beer shop on the way home. :)

Leftover Chinese food for lunch.. OMG HOTTTTTTTTT! :ahhh: The curry chicken got even hotter.. snouts on fire! :ahhh:

I need to render a pinup or two.. hee hee! :snake:

...must have been all the Slivovitsa I shared with them in an attempt to bribe them so I can get the gifts I asked for. :cheese:

    ...thanks all.

    PS1borg, love the old FB5.

Yeah if those 61 trips around the stellar primary were stretched out into a straight line, I'd be 35,625,177,971 miles from earth (over 3 times the distance Voyager 1 is from earth), well into interstellar space. Radio signals would take just over four and a half days to reach that far (no wonder Daz site response have been so slow for me lately. :) ).
