This is last time I order something the week before Christmas online. My package is stuck in northern Virginia. The U.S.P.S. needs to process many packages this time of year.

edit: nevermind, I thought I ordered the package on the 17th. Bah, I can't read.

    PS1borg, love the old FB5.

Yeah if those 61 trips around the stellar primary were stretched out into a straight line, I'd be 35,625,177,971 miles from earth (over 3 times the distance Voyager 1 is from earth), well into interstellar space. Radio signals would take just over four and a half days to reach that far (no wonder Daz site response have been so slow for me lately. :) ).

    Oh happy birthday to you

Morning. Tropical humid, a blanket of monotone grey overcast spreading over city towers and hot so far today, not so much christmas bustle as bleary streets struggle to wake up after a few very warm nights :)

Is the humidity that slows everything down, like swimming in treacle for a few days and nights. Was tired already, slower than a seven year itch now

What a lovely fountain! Is that water an object or PhotoShop brush?

    Dana

    Thanks! An object. :)

Oh, I saw those. I looked at the promos and thought that they weren't that impressive. The one with the girl in the shower looked...odd. but that one looks pretty good.
+1 ... the girl in the shower looks more like a girl behind a very small bead curtain - droplets too regular imho o.o

ETA: nice playful render Misty (^_^)d.

Think it is best to light the droplet geometry separately so you can vary the specular properties a little by manoeuvring the light source to get variously shaped highlights :)

Pressure is dropping along with the temp and iz real gloomy nao for 6 o'clock in the afternoon....

Well, I've had way too much "fun" for today. I'm going to bed.

So far, the gray sun is shining here. Someone else must have the yellow sun. Overcast, 50% chance of rain, high in the low 50s.

Slate gray skies, cold-ish, windy as heck, and generally miserable.. We've only had 3 sunny days this month! :ahhh:

One more day until a 4 day weekend! :cheese:

Blech, what a day... implemented a RoundUp bug tracking system, then found a way to get Subversion version control working, now cleaning up my archives directory on the shared drive.. boring but necessary.

This place is definitely in the Stone Age, software-development-wise. No version control., no auto backups, no documentation system, no bloody bug/issue tracker! :ahhh: :ahhh: Well, NOW THERE IS! :snake: :snake:

Time to learn a new language.. Python, I think.. :blank:

It's 47 F here right now! Tomorrow it is expected to be in the high 50s and might even hit or breach 60! I live in Massachusetts.
