i'm having trouble finding ram upgrade for my desktop

...been shopping around myself but the only two 24GB kits (6 x 4GB) I can find that are compatible with my MB are a GSkill and Corsair one, both which have these odd protrusions on the top of the sticks. The memory sticks I currently have (Corsair) don't look like that at all.

I suspect that those are sort of like heat sinks, or maybe exactly like heat sinks. I believe that higher end RAM has things like that, to dissipate the heat and keep the RAM running cooler without a meltdown. Must be tough to push it into the sockets with those thingies, though.

...that was exactly my thought as it takes a little force to make sure they are firmly seated in the slots. Not much into having pierced fingers.

I thought pierced fingers are all the rage these days?
...maybe for the teen emo set, but not when your 61 years old.

You didn't say goodnight to those who have already gone to bed.

    Complaint:
I keep having these recurring dreams where I was needed at work, so I came out of retirement and went back. Now the dreams have built their own reality. I've been there for years now (in the dreams) and am trying to retire again but somehow can't. It weirds me out so much that when I wake up, I'm disoriented for a few minutes. I hate these dreams! Hopefully they'll stop soon. >:-(

Have a doctor's appointment with a Dermatologist to check out the site where she removed a mole back in May. In November, I was told it had turned into a celtoid (extra scare tissue) and it was very sensitive to touch, even to necklaces. So she did a shot to reduce the scar tissue and numb the sensitivity, but the solution burned like fire even with a numbing agent. And I had gone on my own to the doctor that time. It was hard to drive back with one hand holding the seat belt away from the site.

And I have to go on my own again, cause Fiance can't get out of work today to drive me. the first shot worked wonders once the fire died down. I'm able to wear my necklaces again. I just want to make sure that all the extra scar tissue is gone.

I had to watch Citizen Kane TWICE.. once in a junior college cinematography class, and once in high school literature. :blank:

Once is OK, twice.. not so much..

..and then I never did try to be a great film editor.. or cameraman.. And I'm WAAAAAY too old to change careers.. :long: BUT - I still have my copy of "PAinting With Light" :)

Before you go to sleep, think about a really generous severance package.

Are you absolutely sure you have correctly identified which is the dream?

    It's The Matrix! :ahhh: :ahhh:

I can typically tell when I'm dreaming, lots of times I go lucid (which is SERIOUSLY weird), and sometimes I have what (for want of a better word) "visions", hyper-real dreams of fantastic places.. all my dreams are in Technicolor, and sometimes I can touch, taste, and smell.

    Freaking bizarre! :ahhh:
