    Morning. Still anaesthetised from mind numbing meetings yesterday, a humid and slate grey sky kinda day here to match mushy feeling, perhaps it will rain a little later on ? Perhaps a walk in wherever the sun has gone will kickstart addled brain ? :lol:

    This is weird.. if I create a new scene, then Reality renders fine.. if I load an old scene and clean all the lights out, then add a Sun, save and try to render.. only the IBL background shows up. :blank:

    I need to try to repro this a few times and put together a bug report...

    I'm just guessing, but it might be due to the fact that the old scene was saved in an older version of DS. Formats have changed a bit. Like I said, I'm just guessing.

    ...there was some discussion on this over on the Reality4 thread. I asked about this and was told that I should be OK.

    What I do is save a copy of the scene with a slightly different name for use with Reality, that way if something bollixes up, I still have the parent scene saved as a native Daz. .duf file.

    No rain and haven't see. the sun all day but it sure feels warm just before sundown :)

    Tropical storm blowing over, thunder lightning oh my. The night isn't quite black enough for the storm to be spectacular, low clouds lit orange from city lights getting in the way :lol:

    Hmmm but I am a new hire so it will not work. Tried to tell them I would not work thanksgiving day but I worked that day anyways.

    Lol I mean the newest version that is in the store. It is a luxrenderer plugin. Now to decide between poser and ds version.

    So, did you buy Reality or not? I'm confused. First you said that you are not buying Reality, then you said Reality 4 is yours. Uh...

    Of course, it quite does. But I love to experiment, so I've done a Friends Forever one and an Eclypse one. They sure look WAY different in LuxRender...! :bug:

    Blech, bored now. Hardware dude out today and I need hardware help. Plus, there's a chili cook-off in the break room and I can't taste test because my innards are acting up again. :down:

    ..I need to install one of the Radeon 7950 I have to get GB of VRAM. May also have to find a way to upgrade the memory to 24GB as I am getting a high memory use warning every time I relaunch my test scene after adjusting materials in the Reality UI. The cost is not just the memory sticks (249$ for 24GB at Newegg) but I also have to upgrade to Win7 Pro as Premium only supports up to 16GB and my system has a tri channel MB (no way to get 15GB a there are no 2.5 GB sticks).

    Back when I built the system a 24 GB kit would have set me back nearly 800$.

    ...DIM only had three of the Ron's Brush Sets I got last night even though my Product Library shows them all. They all also show as "DIM Ready" so I don't know why the rest were not included. Will have to DL them manually.

    Chock it up to more site weirdness I guess.

    24GB! :bug: :bug: That'd be darn impressive!

    I live with 8GB right now, but the next laptop will have 16GB right out of the box! :snake:
