We proudly present to you...

RRRR Unleashed!

This is a round of RRRR without any theme. You can choose whatever the gods of random toss in your face in your favor!

For all who have no clue what the RRRR is, it stands for “Random Runtime Roulette Renders”.


Who can play?

Anyone can play!

How do you prepare yourself for play?
The rules are very simple, but first you need to have all your items in some kind of order in a text file, dumped from the itemized history into a text file or a spread sheet. Remove things like software, gift certs, and special plugins from the list.
Then you use a randomizer to randomly pick 4 items from your list (your Runtime/My Library). You can use items from any store.

Lucky Bastard Rule!
Anyone who won a prize (place 1-3) last RRRR, the RRRR Back to Renders needs to pull one extra item for each placement just for being a lucky bastard.

There have been a wish

Randomizer that works well:random.org
Randomizer where you get all numbers in one draw:All at once

There are some situations where you allowed to redraw, these are:


- You picked something that doesn’t work, broken thing, only works in a version / software not used etc etc.


- You picked a software or add-on to a software or anything you should have filtered out from the list.


- You picked only huge environment props and will not be able to render a scene without crashing.


- You picked an item you already have been using in two RRRR renders in this contest and that was picked randomly. Three is a curse - rule!

Bundles


If you pull a bundle, use two, three complete items from it, or more if you like, but you do not need to use all, but only picking a hairpin from V4 Complete Bundle is “too little”. Clarification: A bundle still counts as only one pulled item.

The rules of madness!


Now you have successfully picked 4 items (plus any Lucky bastard pulls), make a scene, you can add other items as well but the one you picked should be prominent or cleverly used. Render it, post it and make us all laugh! Remember though that the renders must follow the TOS of the forum and the theme of the contest.

The contest categories!


There are two categories, Funniest and Best, you get it. A fun render might maybe not be a super great render but will cause the viewer to fall of the chair laughing.

It stats now, and will go on until Sunday January 11, 2015 at 23:59:59 local DAZ time.

    ...reminds me, I've got more stuff to put on the list. before I do my 1st pull.

    Also going to push to get more than one pic submitted (creating a "bubblenado" by hand was a lot of tedious work - going to try and keep things a little simpler this time).

    I'm here, but I've got to update my list. I bet I have dozens of new things to add - mostly PC party freebies and stuff.

    OK, I updated my list - 148 new items since last RRRR. Yikes! They weren't all freebies, either. I see that I parted with considerable cash along the way. I have now learned the downside of getting all those freebies during PC Anniversary. I don't own the required model for all those texture sets, so now I draw things that I can't use. I had to scratch 2 of my items and redraw. I keep collecting the ongoing weekly freebies anyway. Who knows when the model might become free so I can use those textures.

    ...have it but it only includes a single bubble prop so it wouldn't have helped in the placement at all.

    I just used a sphere primitive (which I instanced) with the opacity tuned down and upped the reflection value as well as added a reflectivity map.

    Good to so this getting a good turnout of pulls so far. I'm so looking forward to the renders, as I sort out my inventory after yesterday. DIM claims 1063 items, half of them are duplicates, and the rest are how-to and utilities, lol. How do I do a render staring the 'GoZ for Daz Studio 32bit, and Using Auto-fit G1 to G2F lesson, lol.

    35 instead of 40, eh, close enough. There about in approximation, lol. :coolsmile:

    You drop everything unsuitable from the list before pulling or repull when you pull stuff like that.

    Anyway, there's something I missed last time, and I'm not sure if this is terribly obvious, but...

    (DAZ, Rendo, YURDigital, RDNA, OnTarget) Just ask me when I pulled a three huge environments from three different stores, that was madness 12.9!

    ...they do look more like the appliances from the Appliances Pack which is included in the Modern Apartment Bundle. .

    @Totte #1 - great start: nice render (and those appliances are so grunged up I'm amazed anyone spotted the difference)
    @icecrmn #1 - nicely done, you've fit the Cloister in very neatly (is this your first RRRR by the way? I don't recall seeing your name before)
    @Luci45 #1 - that's a clever idea, I love those lurid purple/pink heads!
