Ayyee, Totte, no children's books! I'm too lazy.%-P (And another kid render is on the way.)

MelanieL, I'm so glad that "my' methods are emulated. I think I use the blur so much because I see the world through cataracts. When I get around to fixing that maybe my renders will look different.

    Thanks, icecrmn, Totte, gopherus. MelanieL.

barbult, #1 is awesome, funny and a great idea and execution and composition! Looks really great at full size. Love the giant's foot.
Totte#3 Haha, soooo Bollywood! I love it!
gopherus #3 Nice one. I lke the POV and use of pull.
icecrmn #3 beautiful render and great use of pull!
Totte#4 Definely the American way. So will it work on the Arabs? I wonder if they might be freaking out a bit more - that's a lot of female skin exposed in public.

Pull # 4 (Almost done and is kind of bad, not an inspiring pull for me.)

    Purple Heron

I would beg to disagree, Zawarkal; you get the concept extraordinarily well. Your submissions aren't always "funny", but they are consistently provocative, brilliantly artistic, thought-provoking, and occasionally just a tad-bit disturbing. In other words, the very definition of art.

Keep 'em coming! I always enjoy seeing them!

232: Moroccan Dreams for Michael 4
253: Old West Sheriff’s Office Interior
    448: Yamaki FDR2 Fusion
665: Old West Undertakers Interior Poses

    Title: Strange Device

"This just appeared out of nowhere on a nearby ranch. You've travelled the world, have you ever seen anything like this before?" "No, corporal, I have not."

Not exactly proud of this one. I didn't want to correct the clipping issues because I felt that wouldn't be using the poses I drew, but it's so obvious.

Nice render.I like the job you did on the lighting.

I wouldn't think that very minor adjustments to poses to fix clipping (or feet) would be outside the rules.Would have to check with Totte though.

Poses can be adjusted (some just won't work on certain figures), as long as the "pose is there".

    Amarseda Hair DS
    Neat Pleats
    the Girl 4 Base
    Shigi Hair

well now,,let's see what sort of trouble I can get G4 into

I finally got this one to an acceptable point.I say acceptable because I've been struggling with the lighting and materials for 3 days now :(

I first tried 3Delight and the car came out looking like it was made of cardboard no matter what I done with the materials, so I switched to Luxrender via Reality. The car's materials were great , but I had a terrible time getting the lighting correct.I made 4 attempts at the film speed, lights, etc,, before settling on this setup. After about 20 hours of rendering in lux it was at 2.14k S/p,and still had alot of noise. So I opened it in GIMP and used the automated noise removal tools to try and clean it up.At that point I realized I had a few minor issues with posing and placement  ....seems only fitting that my image subject was photography So,,here it is,, I give you

I got some new stuff on my list :)

    Pull #5

There were 380 items in your list. Here they are in random order:

    Victoria 6
Jewell Hair for Genesis 2 Female(s)
    Yamaki Cargo DS
    Martian War Machine DS

....and of course none of my new toys show up.

So I got a girl, a huge truck, and an alien war machine.

I usually draw old stuff, too, but you can still add as much new stuff to your scene as you want to.

..actually looks pretty nice. Never thought to use the Noise Removal tool in Gimp to save a couple days rendering time.

To fix shaders on cars on 3DL I often use a couple freebies called Super Shine Shaders and Super Shine Top Coat.. they work great for any polished coloured surface. If you are going to be creating scenes with a lot of shiny metallic objects I would also recommend DZFire's Real Metals available here in the store.

This one is just delightful, gopherus! Especially because I can relate to it so well: I was born, and grew up, and went to school, in that town -- Pasadena, Texas (immediately east of Houston).

    So..., yeah. Sweet.

(And there is a 'hurler' to be seen!)

@ gopherus Very well done, I like the "hurler", that will teach them to sneak dad's cigars, only one problem.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see the "Starship Stingray" in your render.

thanks icecrmn, melanie, luci45, Ken OBanion

@icecrmn actually the stingrays hull and cabin, after switching textures, is what the girls are decorating, i took off the wings so they could get closer... oh, and the projectile vomit is actually a modified freebie from mostdigitalcreations called splat!
#3 nice lighting creating the shadows for the spy
#4 i like it... and the models get to do photography as well as posing... is the PA still required to wear a white shirt so the photographer can get a light reading for white balance?

@melanie i considered having his mom looking out the window, lighting up the owl, but i decided to leave it in the dark

@totte lol! does the girl come with the camel as a standard feature? that is such an upscale camel/car lot... are the camels required to wear diapers? good one!

@luci45 #4 nice color and lighting. could that heron be doing one of those mating dances like the cranes?

@Zawarkal #1 i like the color... all the reds... and that fish really came out well. this is the kind of picture i could stare at for hours at a gallery or museum. art is feeling and thinking

@Fobok1 #1 good staging and use of the pull. i figure the poses as a starting point that can be adjusted if needed

@Ken OBanion i was thinking of both pasadena california for the roses (and rosebowl) and pasadena texas for the barn and football
(which i m assuming as my first roommates twin brother went to texas a&m)
#2 that is so high school... reminds me of the fashion club in the daria cartoons... great look and feel!!
actually at my high school they had a fit when one of the girls wore "culottes" in the swletering heat in summer school and i wouldn t be surprised at the vice principal carrying around a ruler to measure dress length... the good old days!?

    pull #5
    Yamaki Show Poses
    Ice Princess for A3V3
    BRC: The Cloisters
Pilgrim for Toon Generations (i seem to be pulling a lot of toons in this rrrr round)
