    List Randomizer

    There were 480 items in your list. Here they are in random order:

    Warrior Goddess Poses for Olympia 6
    Jeans and Tees Shaders
    Hot Tub Pergola Ps
    Victoria 6 HD

    I honestly didn't think i would make it this far. We've got about 2 weeks left, so I've got some time to do something with this.

    Jeans and Tees Shaders applied to the pillows,Vicky's bikini, and the towel.
    Warrior Goddess pose "Flying_landing" (Vicky)

    I wanted to do a bit more in this image, but I've only got 8GB RAM.So I'm a bit limited in what I can do at the moment.The year end sales are all starting up this week, so I see an upgrade in my near future %-P

    @Totte #8 - very funny! But the size of that urn: how big was their Stepmother :gulp: ?
    @Sasje #1 - lovely render, nice lighting.
    @icecrmn #9 - congrats on completing number 9 (I think you're the first?) If you get that upgrade I'm sure there'll be no stopping you in next year's RRRRs :-)

    Circumstances have forced another computer acquisition.

    Yesterday morning, I awoke to see my development machine (an HP Pavilion DV7 laptop) powered off. We didn't experience any power outages overnight (and in any event, the thing has a battery, which was fully charged), so I was understandably curious. I powered it back up, and Windows obligingly explained what had happened: a cooling fan had failed during the night, and the machine overheated. Since I have never been able to install more than 6 gigabytes of RAM in the thing, and since it was more than four years old, I decided, rather than send it out to be repaired, I'd just replace it.

    There were four specific requirements for said replacement: 1) Crap-loads of memory; 2) a smokin' fast processor; 3) a big honkin' hard drive; and 4) screen real-estate out the gazotch.

    I now have a new HP ENVY, with 12 GB of RAM, 1TB of disk space, a quad-core CPU clocking at 2.6 GHz (with "Turbo-Boost" to 3.1 GHz), and a 17" display. This little critter kicks bytes and takes down file-names!

    Yeah, I'm "compensating"; what's your point?

    It took me longer than I intended to get started on this and now that I've finished it, I can't quite remember where I was going with it when I started. :shut: Guess I'll just wing it with a storyline.

    Title: Carried Away
    After her misadventures in the last RRRR contest, Sophie decided to lay low and take it easy by napping in her backyard on her trampoline. What she didn't know was that Christoph the Magnificent (his words, not mine) had spotted her in his crystal ball and was determined to make her his wife. So he hired the twins Polly and Molly, interdimensional movers extraordinaire, to relocate her to his mansion on the other side of the haunted wood where he could impress her at his leisure.

    I've really been enjoying everyone's renders and the stories that go with them and I get a big kick out of reading your posts, Ken. Your sense of humor appeals to my own warped one. :lol: Sorry I haven't been commenting this time around either but I do like the variety and the humor and the imagination that is demonstrated in this contest.

    And here we go with Round Number Five ('Five' the number shall be!):

    1205 - Cozy for Day Dreamer
    526 - Pixium Dress for Genesis 2 Females
    1445 - V4 Elite Ethnic Faces
    2781 - Elvish Styles for M3 and D3

    GAK! Elf-crap!

    However.... An idea is beginning to percolate, to simmer, to infuse the air with the heady scent of delicious depravity...!

    And yes, there will be a pun involved. (I figured I should warn you; it'll probably be the only 'decent' aspect of what I'm conjuring....)

    Well, the idea I came up with was tacky and tasteless, decidedly misogynistic, and more than a little chauvinistic; and it was intended to be.

    All for the sake of another lame-ass pun. And a pretty obscure one, at that! (As if you expected something different!? Come on, people, you should know me better than that by now...!)

    Let the flames commence!

    Also used:
    Easy Environments: Greenlands (the whole scene - for the first time in, like, ever!)
    Black Hole, by Tiermacht Designs (a ShareCG freebie)
    NJA Ponytail Hair for Genesis 2 Females
    Michael 3
    Arick for M3 by LA3D (Head morph - a ShareCG freebie)
    Shelby for M3 by LA3D (Body texture - another ShareCG freebie)
    Prince Charming Hair for M3
    David 3
    Donavan for D3 (Body texture - yet another ShareCG freebie)

    I'll admit that this was a bit of a slap-dash effort, but there really wasn't a whole lot to do with it. (Why did I ever get Gigaliens; I mean, what the hell was I thinking!?)

    OMG Ken. Too funny. Though I think you got the better deal.

    My New Year's Eve went out with a bang. My router stopped working (no idea why) and the data stick will not work directly in my computer due to a device conflict. So I was stuck without internet...

    Well, I remembered once when I was a child that my 'jester on a stick with a pull string' stopped working. I hit it on the ground and yelled 'WORK' rather angrily, forcefully. And, it started working. So..... I did the same thing to my router and it is working!!!!!!! Yay

    Dither, or in this case, Cuss-dither, lol.

    One of the earliest [applications] of dither came in World War II. Airplane bombers used mechanical computers to perform navigation and bomb trajectory calculations. Curiously, these computers (boxes filled with hundreds of gears and cogs) performed more accurately when flying on board the aircraft, and less well on ground. Engineers realized that the vibration from the aircraft reduced the error from sticky moving parts. Instead of moving in short jerks, they moved more continuously. Small vibrating motors were built into the computers, and their vibration was called dither from the Middle English verb "didderen," meaning "to tremble." Today, when you tap a mechanical meter to increase its accuracy, you are applying dither, and modern dictionaries define dither as a highly nervous, confused, or agitated state. In minute quantities, dither successfully makes a digitization system a little more analog in the good sense of the word.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dither#Etymology

    We call it, slapping the side of the TV, lol.

    i used to have one of the first atari 800 s. i maxed it out with 3 16k memory modules. my brother got it to run with the top off. sometimes in the middle of a game of space invaders it would freeze. so he would take out the memory modules one by one and bang them on the table.
    then put them back in. it often worked to de stick the machine and continue the game.

    Haven't been by since ... well, last year - so first I'll say Happy New Year to all!

    @emsim #1 - and Sophie's back! I like the shocked look on those trees. Where will she find herself next?
    @Ken Banion #5 - Puns? Tick. Misogyny? Tick. Chauvinism? All preset and correct, SIR! (Though that elf guy on the right looks a little camp to my eye) Another true Ken-ism. (Oh, and sorry to hear about the computer meltdown, but at least you came out of it better equipped! And thanks Zawarkal for your handy hint on how to treat technology mean and get a result!)
    @Sasje #2 - that's neat! Is this the missing scene in "2001", just after the monolith arrived bearing gifts for early man?
    @emsim #2 - oh how sweet, she's likes to decorate her home! I was surprised to see the hair on Xerr, very neat solution!
    @Ken OBanion #6 - it came out OK though. Note your point on "why did I ever..." - I find a lot of that in my content libraries :-)
    @Sasje #3 - ooh, jeopardy! Is the dragon trying to look like a Gothic gargoyle? Nice camera angle/aperture, it really enhances that scene.

    And so to pull #6:

    1107 = Modern Bed 2
    445 = Maces and Cudgels
    1062 = Severed Man
    1176 = Xylia Double French Braids 2

    Another bed?! (And how to keep the Severed Man within the Forum TOS?)

    LOL. normally I would never condone hitting something for fear of damaging it worse... but when it's broken, it's broken so I figured I had nothing to lose; even then, while doing it, I could feel the twinges within me... of course, you all would have got a kick out of the happy dance that followed when those lights came back on :)

    hey, possible challenge idea... the happy dance
