    Lots of nice stuff in the last few days, and the fireplace set looks like it'll be especially useful.

    I just checked with IG for you SpottedKitty. The "light" on the candle flame is set up for proper intensity, but the materials are not set up, and the flame renders as an oval. It looks great in DS though, and it auto-converts pretty well too.
    He said it was OK to mention a full candle set is in the works, and those definitely will have the full Luxus/LuxRender support.

    Thank you everyone. Sorry, my offering is such a tiny little thing this year. And yes, I forgot to add Luxus materials. I was so busy trying to get the candle to both work as it should and look right in Daz Studio that I forgot to set it up for LuxRender.

    Thanks for the new freebies. This image uses the Votive Candle, Simple Living Fireplace, SY Christmas Lights, Stacia (with other morphs added), Artificial Christmas Tree, Clogs, and Leisure Pants cross-figured to G2F. I also have Fisty's great free snowman earrings and Ankle socks and BlackFeather1973's free morphs for Fisty's Ankle Socks.

    I'm having trouble getting the votive candle to render like the image that IG posted in this thread. The candle is always bright shiny red for me even though it is inside the same glass holder that is in the IG render. What am I doing wrong?

    And, well, here another one using the Votive candle (though I did use one of DestinyGarden's glass materials, and changed the lightsettings on the candle)

    Want you kiddin' me? I've got a mail this morning with a new freebie "Shape Presets for Genesis 2 Male(s)" and now I'm back from work, wnat download that one and the freebie is gone. What's happened here???

    Sometimes you've just got to laugh. In the newsletter, the pic for the "Shape Presets for G2M" freebie is the other pic for the "Ski Free" set... which is for G2F. :ohh:

    I have the same problem, the newsletter showed two freebies. But I'm grateful for the textures anyway, though I wouldn't go skiing dressed like that.

    I am thinking of checking myself into a mental ward. Muscleman's shapes were in my cart. I got interrupted and left to do some chores and when I came back to continue the check out the shapes weren't there. I checked my email just in case I had already checked out absentmindedly but no confirmation of buying anything today. Hmmm, I went back to the shop to place it in the cart again but couldn't find it. I unchecked the hide owned and still couldn't find it. OK, back to my email to re-open the newsletter. Huh? It's not there either. The newsletter has changed? I swear those DAZ elves are driving me straight to the funny farm.

    A friend of mine has got these shapes ... the early bird ...

    12 days of christmas reminds me a little to my childhood ... and when someone show me a toy and say "Hey look what i got for you today" and then say on the same day "just kiddin" that isn't funny.

    But I agreed with cecilia. The textures are nice and most of the past releases are stunning.

    The newsletter was changed. I tried to write a thread reporting the missing item, but the pictures were changed before I finished (I have the email version, so I will try to take a screenshot). We can only hope it was scheduled for the 23rd (Tuesday) and will appear then. But yes, Spanky, it is no funny affair.

    The same thing happened to me (apart from the changing newsletter, which I haven't read). Shame really, because I'm not interested in the bikini textures. Will have to remember in future that 'available for two days' is Daz-speak for 'available until we decide to pull it in a couple of hours time'.
