Question about Jepe's Orso

The product page lists 1 DSON Core Installer and 1 Michael 4 Version Installer. Seeing as the latter is not software is the installer for DS or Poser? Usually installers are listed as DSON, DS or Poser so this is a bit unclear. I see .pz2s are included but I'd just like to make sure it works in Poser without DSON.

    You can find new icons for loading this product in the following Poser Libraries:
    Pose: “DAZ Michael 4:Characters:Jepes Orso”
    Pose: “DAZ Michael 4:Characters:Jepes Orso:Jepes Orso SSS”

    I also have question in regards to Jepe’s Orso. I would like to know if the Genesis Genitalia is supported, the product page reads -

    Details
    With Orso you will also get three Michael 4 Genitalia textures with transparency, bump, specular and displacement maps

    What's Included and Features
    •3 Genital Options for M4
    •5 Genital Options for Genesis 2 Male

    There is nothing said about the Michael 5 "bits". I ask this because I only have Michael 5 pro/b, I do not own M/4 or M6 Pro/b.
    If some one could help out with my question it would be great, as being a punch item it can not be returned and I see no option for opting out of current punch promotion. Ta TD.

    The five different gen material presets included for both Genesis and Genesis 2 Male character folder are for the M4 gens. The product page should have clearly stated no Genesis/Genesis 2 Male gens maps are included. I'll just leave it at that.

    Edit: I guess I haven't been paying attention as Jepe's Nathan for M6 gens maps are also for the M4 gens... LOL Jepe is the master of hand applied hirsute textures and don't regret any of my purchases of his male texture sets.

    Still waiting for some realistic textures for the genesis and genesis 2 males bits.

    Jepe made some really good textures and morphs for the M4 and Ulf's bits. I use these when I do a naked male and with the collision and smoothing options they fit wonderfully to all Genesis males.

    I have both products.

    Nathan actually does have textures for the G2M Genitalia as well as the M4 gens, even though there's no M4 version of Nathen. I've looked at the textures directory itself, and they're all there, and applied with Nathen's presets for the G2M gens.

    Orso only has textures to match the M4 gens, but they can be applied to the Genesis/G2M genitalia with the included presets, and they look fine. There's no dividing line between the SkinHip and SkinGenitalia region, as long as you use the genital preset that matches the body preset -- I wonder how he managed that? In any event, the G2M/Genesis genitalia can be used with Orso with no problem.

    I will note that Orso's product information is quite precisely phrased. "Genital options" and "Genital maps" are not quite the same thing.

    Thanks for mentioning M6 gen texture presets for Nathan. When I posted the message, I had hastily looked at Nathan in the Product category and saw the presets for the M4 gens at the bottom of the list and didn't catch the M6 gens presets.

    re: Orso, by golly there is an Orso material preset for the M6 gens that is using M4 Gens UV Mapping I don't remember any mention of a M4 UV mapping available for the G2M gens. That's a big deal! I don't believe I added a third party M4 UV gens mapping.

    Hope tekno_dragon is reading this as Orso does indeed include textures for the G2M gens.

    If you have the Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male product, you have mapping for M4 textures to be used on the G2M Genitalia, although if you don't have specially made presets like Orso's, you may need to apply them manually. (And if you don't have that product, Orso is unusable on G2M anyway, since he uses M4 mapping throughout.) It was added as an update for the product. On the product page, it notes:

    **Update Feb, 2014. Improvements made to overall uvs for more accurate matching of original Michael 4 textures including tattoos on the back and neck. Also added UV's for the Genesis 2 Male Genitalia to accept Michael 4 Genital textures.

    Thanks for the info and links people, that's great ive got Orso in the cart - a product with lots of options is to good to pass by anyways.
