How do plugins work

Now and again I buy something from the DAZ shop and most of the time they work. But occasionally they don't and then I'm out of my depth. Right now I'm grappling with a set of walking poses.. The product contains a variety of poses (.DUF and CR2) which appear in my Content Library and are displayed as Poses (duf), Animations (.ds) with an exclamation symbol, and others with no type just a name (.p2z) and finally another no type (crz).
The poses (duf) work, as do the (p2z)s, some of them have a limited but useful bit of walk animation. The ones labelled Animation with exclamation mark generate a message 'Error opening file', the log states:
Loading script: C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library/aniBlocks/aniMate/Walks/forward_(1_cycle).ds
Failed to load script: C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library/aniBlocks/aniMate/Walks/forward_(1_cycle).ds.
What do the file types signify?
Why doesn't the script load?
Some light on these issues would be appreciated.

These are Aniblocks, and they are for use with the Animate2 plugin that comes free with DAZ Studio. You will find it in Window > Panes (Tabs) > Animate, you cannot use them in any other way. You will see them in the Content Library pane under DAZ Studio Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Aniblocks, with an icon for dragging them into the plugin (Animate).
In Poser content, you sometimes see files like OBZ, and these are compressed OBJ files, the same applies to CRZ which are compressed CR2 files as far as I can remember.
Poses in Poser format will be PZ2 files.
