M4 Coat Texture question?

Anyone know if there is a way to add texture to the inside of M4 Coat?

I'd like to add a plaid texture to the inside of the M4 Coat if I can. Is there a texture preset already out there?

Thanks

Depends how the coat is made - if the lining has a separate material zone and/or its own geometry (i.e. the mesh has an outside layer and an inside layer) then you could use one of the freebie Fabricator-based shader presets available on ShareCG.
If it doesn't have its own material zone or layer then you'd need a special shader to add different textures to the inside and outside. There was a forum thread on this - try http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/15484/ - and Pendraia put up a couple of options on ShareCG - there's a link to her portfolio in her signature line in that thread. These just set up the surface to take different images on the two sides: you'd need a suitable plaid texture to add to the inside. Try searching for "plaid" on ShareCG to find some tiling textures.
PS: The thread makes it sound fairly complex (it's got the resident experts posting theory stuff in there) but the resulting shader posted by Pendraia is, I believe, fairly straightforward to use - can't remember whether I ever tried it out myself, I may have a dig around when I'm next on my DAZ Studio PC (I'm on my laptop at present and don't have DS installed here)

Even if it doesn't have a material of its own, you can open up the UV map and put a texture on that part of the coat

Ah, I was kind of assuming that the OP wanted to keep the original texture on the outside of the coat with the plaid on the inside only - whereas normally the single texture shows on both sides?
If not then the Fabricator plaid freebies may be a nice easy way to go.

you can change the texture of any mesh if you use the UV maps. You don't have to change the outside when you change the inside. just paint the texture on the inner portion of the mesh.
