I keep a spare mouse around the house so that I can perform mouse-to-mouse resuscitation. (*groan*)
That is ... not exactly helpful, but terribly funny! LOL
I got a mouse for my computer, but I never could get it to work. Am I doing something wrong?
Mice, like cattle are not terribly enthusiastic about doing your bidding. They need selective prodding. Check my squirrel avatar. Have whip, will travel!
Take care your mouse doesn't get a virus
I got spare mice in case one acts up but no spare keyboard and of course my keyboard died on me.
Ouch ...
I have a new mousie ... Logitech M280. It is a simple three button mouse, but it works well in my hand. The only thing that is a bit difficult is clicking with the scroll wheel - the rest works nicely! :)
That's why I always get one with a thumb button, so I can remap and scroll wheel click to something easier.
The problem with mouses with so many buttons for me is that they are usually too big - I have to spread my fingers too much, which hurts - and I happen to click them accidentally. That's just me ... a bit clumsy ... :red:
Do you draw with the mouse ever, or do you just use your waycom? Some nicer mice come with little weight sets you can add to it to help improve accuracy. Once you get used to a heavy mouse you can do some really precise stuff.
I highly recommend a gaming mouse with High DPI that fits your hand. More precision and more frequent report sampling is better. Comfort is very important though, so don't buy them without physically handling them first. I have large hands, so finding the right mouse for me is a pain. :) (And my trusty G-9X with the custom grip is showing its age now.)
I had just gotten my first Mac for use in testing and it was an iMac with a Magic Mouse. It drove me nuts because it not only lagged but had very poor precision. I went into Best Buy (There were no Apple Stores near me at the time.) and asked what could be done to get a better mouse on a Mac.
He showed me a Magic Mouse. I said that is what I have. He said the settings could be adjusted, so we went to a much better/faster iMac they had on the floor and cranked up the settings and I showed the lag and the lack of precision in the Magic Mouse. He stated all mice do that. I said I don't have this problem on WIndows. He asked "what mouse do you use on Windows." I told him a G-9x. He said (with the start of tears in his eyes) "But, but that's a gaming mouse!"
LOL. Since then you can now get drivers for most gaming mice on a Mac, but you still have to crank the settings up. :)
Maybe a rat will work better for you? :-)
LOL Naughty!
...one of the built in plugins in Daz studio is for the Sandio 3D mouse. Anyone ever use it?
Where do you see which plugins that are available? I've been thinking of giving this one a try:

Ratified!

...go to With Daz Studio open "Help/About Installed Plugins" scroll to the bottom of the page and it should be just above 'Scripted 3Delight Renderer. It should also show as active (I have it deactivated as I don't need it).

Thanks. I can see there is a "3D Connection" plugin, I assume that should work for the one I linked to.
