Your Top Ten DAZ Products Used / Bought / Freebies For 2014 And Favorite Character / Clothes / Set

The Year 2014- Here Come Your Favorites!
Having some fun chats behind the scenes so thought I'd bring the conversations onto a thread. Last year in my Art Studio thread, we discussed our favorite products that we used or bought last year, and it was a lot of fun.I thought I'd post here in the Commons instead so everyone could see the thread, and participate if they'd like to do so.
We're going to do two things. Pick and choose which ones you'd like to participate in, or do both of them :)
Here's the first one-
Your Top Ten Products You BOUGHT OR USED This Year
The purpose is to call attention to products you bought OR used and really like- you do NOT have to have rendered yet- so other folks can consider those vendors' products. Here's the rules on that one-
1. You must have bought or used the product this year (Edited to add- Including freebies from Daz members or DAZ)
2. You can only list ten things, and they do NOT have to be listed in any kind of order. If you have a favorite thing above all else, you can state that though. That would be interesting.
3. PLEASE number your list. No more than ten things. However, we'll cheat and let you list textures/materials with the outfits and only count that as one thing. Some great texture sets out there! Put them together under one number.
4. It can be any type of product sold here at DAZ.
5. Vendors can participate and of course list their products!
6. It would be nice if you'd take the time to provide the link so others can easily surf to the products.
Here's the second thing-
Your Top Character, Clothing, and Set/Scenery Products You BOUGHT OR USED This Year
Now it gets harder. You can only list one of each!
For Character, you can also list the main model if you didn't buy any additional characters for them yet.
You can repeat from your Top Ten list. However, maybe a character wasn't in your top ten products, or clothing or a set.
So for this list, you'd only have (and please do label them and provide the links)
1. Favorite Character: X
2. Favorite Clothing: Y
3. Favorite Set/Scenery: Z
So hop in to that Product Library and give this some thought. There's no rush to post, I know it's going to take me awhile to go through what I have bought or used this year and chose only my top ten and top character, clothing and scenery. Again, you do not have to have used the product, but you have to have BOUGHT it this year. We want to focus on recent products for these first two lists.
Comments
Can it be only stuff we bought? I got lots of excellent items for free.
As long as they are from DAZ, go for it :)
Clarification: meaning DAZ itself or people here on the forums at DAZ. You found the item through DAZ. Lots of neat things in the Freepository, for instance.
Damn, I used ShareCG... And this clarifies no Rendo or RDNA products are allowed, I thought how to abide by your linking request without violating the rules here.
But think of renaming the thread into "Favourites of DAZ". Without other shops, it would not be even.
I added DAZ and also Freebies in the title. But as it's a DAZ forum and we don't actively promote Rendo, that was a given IMO.
(Edit- you can have them in the render, but the mentioned and MAIN products should be DAZ)

And this is a fun question- how many orders does everyone have for 2014? (Hint, select 50 per page in your Orders, it's easier.) I have 7 pages of 50 (350) minus 7 items that were 2013, so 343 orders for 2014. Good lord, almost an order a day, although that isn't right. I usually separate out the freebies and do them separately if I am ordering several things that I pay for, since the cart is so poor at showing what you pay for each individual item after the order is processed. Some days I don't order anything, usually only a few things, and other times, when they add those deals mid-afternoon (sigh, after I bought earlier in the day) I buy other things. So how many orders did you have this year? That includes freebies- anything that was an order. Mine is 343 orders.
And...
My first order number for 2014 was 101 389 282 and yes, it was on the 1st of the year. Let's see who had the first order of this year!
(If you think about it, break your order number down into three sections so we can easily see who wings in the earliest.)
BTW, a fast way to get through your products (the way I'm doing it, anyway) is to write down your first order number, and a few of the products so you know what to look for, then go into Product Library and dive back through the pages a bit. EDIT: Click on a product and look at the order number and date that will be at the top corner of the product page shown in the Product Library.
Once you find the first order, then it's easy to work your way back, clicking on each product in the Library and easily seeing what they are. I don't recognize some of these by name so the ability to click on all the stuff I've ordered in one place is speeding me along.
I found an image of one of my top ten so posting that too. If you'd like to do that with yours, feel free :)

Shown below- Mara, by Artemis3D
Edit: Also found one of Taric (shown with Ginger.) Lol- I don't normally render in orangle/golden glows, these both happen to be that way.
So I just whipped out a calculator and added up how much I had spent at Daz in SIX months - not twelve.
I almost died. I can't even fathom spending that much. o_o Granted, a lot of purchases I make are used with money I make from my products - but still.
Arrrgghh!! And so much of it goes to waste! I'm a compulsive buyer. I obsess over products - buy them - and then never use them. :(
That's another reason why this thread is helping me- I'm seeing all the great stuff I have which hasn't been used yet, or I forgot I bought. I'm going through thinking, "Ooooooh...want to use that one...and this one....oh yeah, and that...." (And some of them are yours, lol)
Okay, give me some time please (I don't feel like sharing exact insight on my billing, but I certainly will tell you my favourites from 2014). One question though: saying WHAT YOU BOUGHT/GOT FOR FREE IN 2014, do you mean anything or just the new releases from 2014? Because this certainly makes a difference for me... I got new shinies this year, but many were quite old.
Only started in August of this year, so most my time has been spent delving through the archives and catching-up on mostly older products.
Although, in the spirit of the thread, here are my top picks for 2014:
Favorite Character: Bounty Character For Giselle 6 (Morris) http://www.daz3d.com/bounty-character-for-giselle-6
Favorite Clothing: Viking for Genesis 2 Male(s) (DAZ Originals, Ravenhair) http://www.daz3d.com/viking-for-genesis-2-males
Favorite Set/Scenery: The Village Courtyard 02 (Stonemason) http://www.daz3d.com/the-village-courtyard-02
Well I can answer the easy question: 266 orders in 2014 (so far :) ) First order was on 01/Jan = 101 388 977 so that beats yours I think, Novica - I screen-print all my orders, and the time on that was 23:59 on my PC, which would have been 16:59 DAZ Time - so I expect there were lots of people with an earlier order than day.
As for the main question(s) - that will take me a little longer to answer! (But I will, eventually)
Nope, it doesn't have to be released in 2014. You GOT it in 2014
Great thread. I don't buy as much as i used to and to be honest, there weren't to many must have type products for my tastes released in 2014. Looking at my orders, I spent twice as much here in 2013 than 2014. Guess I should see how much I spent at other stores since my purchasing is normally spread around quite a bit
None of my top pick/ fav / go to items were purchased or released in 2014 other than GenX2.
Got a couple of new items in my wishlist though due to this thread, so keep them coming!
Top favourite three:
1. Favorite character: http://www.daz3d.com/svengar-for-gianni-6
Just look at him: he's masculine, the textures are so photorealistic, he is not a typical white male who is thirty-something... It was hard, because I love all characters by Saiyaness. She, along with Raiya, Valea and FWArt, is my favourite character vendor from DAZ.
2. Favorite clothing: http://www.daz3d.com/possibilities-2pc-dress-for-genesis-2-female-and-victoria-6
It was a difficult choice. I mean, I was really torn between this and three rocking sets by Mada: Corvidae Dress, Sighni Outfit and Peony Kimono, because they have great partial morphs and poses to go with them. But, as I couldn't choose just one, I settled on this. It is my solution for DS users who have little choice for dynamics. With any set by Aave Nainen, you can forget about this problem: her clothes are very expensive, but packed full of morphs and they look so realistic!
3. Favorite set/scenery: http://www.daz3d.com/freemasons-ruin
It's like several sets in one. The textures are amazing, you can choose visibility presets you want, it works perfectly with Predatron's light presets. And it looks as if the Hammerites built it.
4. Favourite hair: http://www.daz3d.com/spiderqueen-hair
I've been waiting for this to go on sale for ages. It is flowing, has lots of bones for movement and it's by Valea. What else could you ask for?
This space is reserved for my favourite ten, which will not feature the things above as you can obviously see I love them. This isn't something violating the rules, ergo, I can do that .
* * *
1. http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2
An absolute must-have, it let me save a lot on content for Generation 6. If addons are treated like textures, I'm adding this: http://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-2.
2. http://www.daz3d.com/sighni-outfit-for-genesis-2-female-s
One word: partials. It resembles dynamics thanks to partial morphs and poses that fit each other.
3. http://www.daz3d.com/corvidae-dress
Like above: partials make this dress outstanding. And there are lovely textures. I only got http://www.daz3d.com/ljosalfar, but I'm saving for http://www.daz3d.com/dokkalfar too.
4. http://www.daz3d.com/medieval-cloaks-for-genesis-females
I highly value http://www.daz3d.com/hooded-cloak-for-genesis and pretty much any clothing Ravenhair comes up with, so three cloaks were an instant steal.
5. http://www.daz3d.com/merlin-s-oak-plants-and-props-set
I adore Merlin's and Andrey Pestryakov's trees. This set also has rocks, pebbles, a campfire...
6. http://www.daz3d.com/mermaid-genesis-bundle
Merfolk! I needed a mertail for Genesis so badly. I was relieved when this came out.
7. http://www.daz3d.com/boris-hair-for-genesis-2-male-s
This set is so underestimated it's a shame. You get multiple hairstyles and beards!
8. http://www.daz3d.com/minotaur-6-hd-bundle
MINOTAURS!!!
9. http://www.daz3d.com/medieval-merchants-house-bundle
Lots of useful props in here, trust me.
10. http://www.daz3d.com/domina-character
Another relatively new, but incredibly talented PA made this character. I also love her "sister" Miu Zen!
Urg... I just realized that I've bought nearly 1150 products from DAZ in 2014, so it would be nearly impossible to evaluate them all down to a top 10 level... especially when a number of them come broken down across several packages. So, to keep the number down I’m ONLY going to list items that were released in 2014, and to further keep from listing just one or two vendors products exclusively, I’ll be putting similar products together where I deem appropriate.
1 - Age of Armor’s Advanced Distant and Spotlight (I already had the ambient lights)
http://www.daz3d.com/advanced-distant-light
These lights re-wrote the rules on how I used DS 4. The really incredible part, though, isn’t just how powerful and versatile these are, it’s that they somehow manage to do everything they do and still SPEED UP render times. And to add to the mind-boggliness, they’re also dirt cheap compared to most light sets. How is that even possible? If you haven’t bought them, you’re crazy!
2 - Dimension3D’s Generation X2 (and all the character plug ins)
http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2
As far as I'm concerned, this has been the ultimate killer ap for Genesis and G2F/M. I’ve transferred hundreds, perhaps thousands, of character shapes, morphs and expressions with this wonderful add-on… all at the push of a button.
3 - Slosh’s Gen 4 & 5 shapes for G2F & G2M, and Gen 5 UVs for G2F & G2Mn5
http://www.daz3d.com/generation-4-legacy-shapes-for-genesis-2-female
http://www.daz3d.com/generation-5-uv-bundle-for-genesis-2-male-s
Together with the Gen 4 UV sets, these are the perfect companions for GenX. Any outfit on any figure, any skin on any G2 shape.
4 - Xenic101’s Pokeaway 2 for G2F/G2M
http://www.daz3d.com/poke-away2-for-genesis-2-female-s
One of those great improvements that many may have missed. Like the previous Pokeaway, this product causes a figures shape to pull away from underneath the clothing. The big improvement, though, is that now if you turn the dial the OTHER way, the clothes move away from the figure! Now THAT’s what we needed.
5 - Sickleyield's Genesis 2 Male Clone for Genesis
http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-male-clone-for-genesis
Because sometimes you gotta use Genesis to get the crazy shapes you want, but you want to use your G2M clothes with them.
6 - Zev0 & Draagonstorm’s Skin Builder Pro
http://www.daz3d.com/skin-builder-for-genesis-and-genesis2-female-s
The skin builder’s great all by itself, but the best parts of this little jewel are the makeup, tan line and pubic hair generators… which work with any V5 skin. With a little hacking, you can lay in your own presets as well. And now Draagonstorm has the LIE baker as well!
7 - EVERYTHING else by Zev0
Lets face it, this guy is a one-man dynamo who seems to be dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Genesis and G2F/M literally as far as they can go. If he makes it, it ends up in my runtime. Just a few of his greatest hits from this year alone include:
Zev0’s Breast control for G2F
http://www.daz3d.com/breast-control-for-genesis-2-female-s
Zev0’s Growing Up morphs for G2M
http://www.daz3d.com/growing-up-for-genesis-2-male-s-m6
Zev0’s Aging morphs for G2F/G2M
http://www.daz3d.com/aging-morphs-2-for-genesis-2-female-s-v6-hd
8 - Ironman 13 Squish soft body effect morphs for G2F
http://www.daz3d.com/i13-squish-soft-body-effect-morphs
Yes, Zev also makes a breast & glute morph pack, but having both packs works even better in some situations. Besides, i13 is easily my favorite pose artist and if this wasn’t here, then one of her pose packs probably would be.
9 - DAZ Pro Bundles – there are few better deals than a DAZ Pro Bundle, though not all bundles are created equal. IMHO, the three best sets this year were Teen Jayden, Stephanie 6 and Belle 6. All three bundles are filled with normal, everyday clothings and practical hair that work in a wide variety of situations. I’m also giving nods to Aiko 6 and Lilith 6, whose bundles weren’t quite as spectacular, but the former was my favorite new figure for much of the year, while Lilith was a steal of a deal at her initial offering price and brought a long overdue more – mature female look to the G2F line.

10 - Filter Forge 4.0
http://www.daz3d.com/filter-forge-professional-edition-win
Okay, this is a semi-cheat as I didn’t buy my copy here at DAZ (as I upgraded from the previous version via FF's website.) However, DAZ did start carrying it this year, so I think it counts. That said, if you have Photohop and work with 3D, you want Filter Forge. For generating textures w bump & normal maps, to creating backgrounds and for postwork, there’s very little that can beat the amazing variety of effect it can produce… with more being added to their site daily.
Not quite getting the parameters of this one, as the number of orders has little to do with how much product you bought. For example, I just checked and I'm currently at 186 orders covering 1145 items. I do tend to buy in big batches as I have to itemize everything, so the fewer invoice numbers I have to deal with the better... though I always grab freebies ASAP, just in case they go missing later. On the other hand, I almost never buy DAZ GCs, which would automatically inflate the order numbers by a good bit.
Cool! I didn't know that about Pokeaway. I bought the product but haven't used it yet.
(Xenic101’s Pokeaway 2 for G2F/G2M- "The big improvement, though, is that now if you turn the dial the OTHER way, the clothes move away from the figure! Now THAT’s what we needed.")
Great lists!
On the poke away product, why not just use the smoothing modifier with collision, I use it all the time and never have pokethru. Plus I feel it also makes for a better fit since it is a closer, more realistic fit to the underlying mesh.

Because Pokeaway 2 can work on multiple tiny little specific spot zones in varying amounts and can affect both the figure and the clothing in different ways at the same time, whereas using just smoothing/collisions alone tends to make clothing look like it's made of plastic or saran-wrap. Both are useful tools and I tend to use them both separately and together, along with Sickleyield's products, to get the results I need as the situation calls for them.
edit - I also tend to use the supersuit a lot as as a variable geometry shield. In fact, I can't remember the last time I used the supersuit as something other than an adjustment aid or a source of nifty shaders.
Thanks for the info Cybersox. Nice to hear about a products use, especially when different from what i got from the product page.
Hmm, some toughies here. For simplicities sake, I'm only going to list the products I actually BOUGHT this year, as I've used many older ones extensively throughout the years I've owned them.
1. Belle 6
2. Brodie 6
These two should be obvious. Daz's recent teens have been a wonderful surprise. Not only because they're genuinely gorgeous by themselves, but also because there was a wide range of new clothing and accessories which accompanied their release. Seeing these hit the store made me feel like a kid in a candy store all over again.
3. Time for School Genesis 2 Female
Dogz released some absolutely fantastic school outfits for the kids. Not only do they fit like a dream on a wide variety of morphs, but they're also extremely flexible with material zones. It would be criminal to not include it in my top 10.
4. Mary Janes
Another great item from Dogz. As well as having a good number of materials, it included a darling pair of socks with frills for the girls. I wasn't expecting it, but it was a happy surprise when I was browsing the store.
5. Kids 4 UV's for Genesis 2
Part of the Christmas freebies. I love this for two main reasons. The first is there are a good number of K4 texture sets in my library and my original K4 set was very slipshod. The second is the surprise kids morphs which were included. I didn't even notice until Slosh mentioned them, but they're adorable and work great with other morphs too.
6. Cutie Pie Dress for Genesis 2 Female
Another great item which included a hidden surprise. As well as being gorgeous by itself, and having the usual Aave Nainen quality draping poses included, it also added some wonderful child morphs. What's more surprising is it also included poses for those children and even draping morphs specific to the included poses. There was an incredible value for money in this purchase, and it more than deserves a spot in the top 10 faves.
7. Horror Survivors: Marius and Cris
Not sure if it counts as cheating to add both of these in one slot, but since they're part of the same theme and by the same PA I think it's excusable. This one was an unexpected joy. It's not only a great set in that it adds two new characters to my growing collection but also some fantastic post-apocalyptic outfits complete with props. Another great example of getting more for your money.
8. Giselle 6
As someone who does a fair number of fae renders, it would've been remiss of me to skip this beauty. Great figure, great add-ons, beautiful textures. I've used the Giselle skin numerous times since, and mixed her morphs with a variety of others to create all kinds of wonderful figures.
9. G-Suit 2 HD
Flipmode outdid himself on this beauty.Aside from it's unfathomably huge number of material options it's also riddled with morphs for seams, stretches, gloves and etceteras. It's the swiss army knife of jumpsuits, ideal for superheroines and workday women alike. I honestly hope it sold in the thousands, because this kind of hard work and dedication deserves recognition.
10. Super Dress and Leggings
Not sure if this one counts, since it technically came out in 2013. However, Dogz updated it in 2014 and I didn't actually learn of it until I saw his post. I snapped it up rather quickly and have been very happy with it since. Is it a dress? Is it a romper? Well, it's all of those thing and more, and that's the real beauty. It's one of the most dynamic outfits I've had the pleasure to work with, second only to the G-Suit.
Just for fun I decided to add up the total sales figures and I've spent a total of $3,173.67. Holy smokes I spend way more than I expected for one year. Bear in mind that $50 of that was a gift voucher for the winner of a render contest I held shortly after the release of Lee. It's also worth noting that I work in pounds sterling, so there's the fluctuating exchange rate to consider too.
I'm a firm believer of supporting the artists whose work I respect, and the best thing about the Daz store is there are so many of them in one place.
Well I've had a long think and a good look at my bought list this year (eek, how did I buy so much?) and sure enough there are things there I wonder "Why?" (probably a can't-miss-it sale price), things I wonder "what?" (but I'm sure I'll love them when I use them) and things I've not even downloaded yet (limited broadband allowance, there's 40 GB + in DIM waiting, including non-essential updates!) but I've come up with some sort of answer.
My favourite 10 of the year:
People -
1. Stephanie 6 Pro Bundle - much nicer than S5 (and I use Ginger or Taylor a lot when I want a random female for a scene)
2. Gianni 6 Pro Bundle (especially the Taric and Ryze characters and the Bold and the Ancient Combat hair)
Hair and Clothing -
3. Julius Hair Bundle - my current fave unisex hair (that's as long as you like your men with long hair :) )
4. Any of Moyra's "Princess of ..." texture sets (do I have to pick one? If so, then probably Princess of Winter, no maybe Eire, no maybe Autumn... :) )
5. Viking for G2M especially with the Northmen texture set (though I also like the Njord and the Hagbard and Signe textures)
Places -
6. The Village Courtyard Bundle - really useful exterior (so many useful piazzas, nooks and crannies in which to pose characters)
7. Rural Chateau and Rural Chateau II (available as a bundle but I bought the components to get extra punches in the PA Sale) - really useful interior (if can look more modern or more period depending on the furnishings)
8. Speed Render Stages - I've used the three skyboxes from this many many times
Other Useful Stuff -
9. Advanced Distant Light (bought this year) - or any other of the AoA Advanced lights, I use them all a lot
10. Rock and Grass Bundle (especially the Grass Shader, very useful for vegg-ing up barren or low-res ground)
Well that was really difficult!
I restricted myself to things I bought this year - there are many old favourites too that I couldn't be without (for example I rarely do a render without one or more of Fabricator / Lacemaker / Ye Olde Clothe / Totally Bazaar shader presets getting a look in) and PA's I'm sorry not to have represented up there, even though I love their work and use it a lot.
So now to favourites, hmmm
1. Favourite Character - hard to choose, as I tend to steal the skin and dial my own characters, but I'll say: Taric for Gianni 6 (although I also really like the base Lee 6)
2. Favourite Clothing - I seem to do a lot of renders of ladies in dresses, but I have to say: Viking for G2M as it's a set I really like
3. Favourite Set/Scenery - I often want a simple outdoor backdrop, so I'll pick: HDR Prosets Yosemite Pack 1 (though Pack 2 is just as useful)
PS: I prepared this list while offline earlier today, so coming back and seeing some other people's lists made me realise how many really favourite things I'd left out. For example I agree with most of cecilia.robinson's, Cybersox13's and HeraldOfFire's lists (and the bits I "disagree" are mostly things I'm sure I'd like but just haven't bought (yet!)
Would it be cheating to post a separate post with things that got given away...? Like Keira for S5 today, K4 UVs, Stacia for V6, V6 herself, Paper Dress, Morphing Rocks, Kaylum Hair, Pyjama Pants, Morphing Rocks, Christmas Tree, Dryden for H5, Josi for K4, Madelia Hair, Curly Hair for Men, V5 Summer Set...
They deserve recognition too or even more, because they were gifts.
Befor We get to this list, Just because a product is not listed, dose not imply that I do not use the item in renders, nor that I dislike ANY of the PA's for whatever reason. This list was a What do I go-to before thinking of what else I may have, because I've used them the most often I guess. Or I know that the results will be good, even If I completely batch up the lighting, lol. Excluding stuff I made from scratch myself, and actually purchased to use here at daz3d (Sorry little feathered dinosaur, lol).

Are there others, yes. This is the top thirteen, minus the top three used below.
Most Popular ZDG showing of 2014.
Darkest Eve Bundle (FW Eve), I'm not surprised here.
http://www.daz3d.com/darkest-eve-character-and-outfit-bundle
I wounder if this works, where is Eve to try this on, lol.
Dynamic Circle Skirt http://www.daz3d.com/dynamic-circle-skirt
If she is not wearing something else for that one render, it's this. The one skirt, I have yet to find a dance-pose it dose not work with. An impossible thing for any 'Conforming' skirt to match with morphs and Base-shaping modifiers, as the PA would need to make them for figure shapes that have yet to be made.
Sea Scapes http://www.daz3d.com/sea-scapes
The set, sky-dome, ocean, dock, island, vegetation, alien shrubbery, and temple, that I just can't seam to stay away from.
So there you have it, the top choices, and top used by ZDG. I will personally vouch for any of these items, As I have used them extensively. Some in ways the PA never thought possible, lol.
As for number of items in my product library, well, I plead the fifth. :blank: 157 order receipts, none for single items.
I remind y'all, I'm new to CG, and I started with NOTHING nine months ago.
(EDIT)
"O", FW Eve's hair, "HMHM hair and MGHM hair for V4 / A4" by Redviper2012 at ShareCG. It is for Poser only, and I kind of forced Daz Studio to eat it along with a gallon of Castor Oil to make it function on G2F. It's not pretty, yet it sort of works, I guess, with considerable effort. Something I would love a Daz Studio G2F version of. And pleas, keep the hair out of the eye, or make a morph for it, pleas.
This is hard...
1. Real Short Hair by Laticis Imagery - this is new, but I'm extremely impressed with it so far
2. Forgotten Temple Ruins - Construction Kit by ARTCollaborations
3. Genesis Generation X2 and add-ons by Dimension3D
4. Elene HD for Victoria 6 by Raiya
5. Mec4D Dragon Rider by Mec4D (probably any of the new outfits from this artist would qualify here)
6. Skin Builder Pro (and add-ons) by Zev0 and DraagonStorm
7. FW Joanie HD by FWArt and Fisty
8. Viking Village Bundle by Faveral
9. PixiePerfect Hair by goldtassel, or, for G2M, Drifter Hair, another DAZ Original by the same artist
10. SickleYield's add-on morph and outfit sets like Slender Stephanie 6 and Mighty Gianni 6. I guess I'd give the edge to Mighty Gianni because I find the included outfit to be more useful.
Favorite character: probably Joanie...her detailed skin and morphs add some much needed variety and maturity to G2F
Favorite clothing: Dragon Rider was the only clothing set to crack my Top 10, but really I want to dedicate the Favorite Clothing award to the Platinum Club offerings, particularly the Viking-related stuff (though Battle Kimono deserves mention as well). If I had to pick one I'd go with Shieldmaiden: looks like something a woman might actually wear in a premodern combat situation, and while it's based on historical costumes, it's got enough of its own character that it can easily work in a fantasy setting...in other words, it's exactly what I look for in a G2F design. Considering that it's got plenty of morphs and available texture expansions too, it's easily in the running for my favorite outfit of the year.
Favorite set: Plenty of excellent candidates, but I'll go with Forgotten Temple Ruins. Extremely rendergenic, versatile, and inspirational.
OK, I cheated as little as possible. I'd like to list some Honorable Mentions here but I'll refrain. ;-P
..as I was without much of an income for most of the year, I pretty much only picked up on the monthly/weekly freebies and what I could get with my PC monthly coupon.
