Question about PC Club +

If I had a pc club + platinum membership would I get additional discounts on things like Smay's Dwarf? Sorry my brain is very fuzzy this morning and I'm trying to decide if I would be better off waiting for a sale on the PC club or buying it now. After being away a while it seems a bit more worthwhile with new options...just not sure what the best thing to do is.

thanks

Thanks Novica...that's what I'm getting I may wait a while long to buy into pc club. Just wary of buying anything at the moment that I might get cheaper when I do. If that makes sense...

That $50 get 25% does not exclude PC memberships according to the promotion- only gift cards- and legally they have to provide the customer with what is advertised. Screenshot the promotion and try it. If it doesn't kick in, you can decide if you want to pursue it. It may not be an issue. :)

Yep, it works. Instead of 70.00 for annual, it was 52.50 so only $4.38 a month. Deal!

I would recommend PC+ because of the two coupons, you get $12 off every month and although you have to spend $18 on one of them, it can be used on PA items so I get things two months after they go off new status and if they are on sale. Choose things that are in promotions, and you get nice deals. :) Buy newer PC items before you switch over (the back catalog doesn't change prices) so you'll get what you want before you switch.

Would you or someone else know where that line is? You know, where does the back catalog end and the new prices start?

Um, they did have that in the members only forum I think. Let me go see if I can find it.

You folks know the site changes over in only a few minutes, and that $50 get 25% off might not be available, or they might restrict the PC membership from being included? If you want it, you may only have minutes to do it. Site changes anywhere from 6 minutes from now to 15 minutes- it varies. Not trying to rush you, but.. don't know what is going to happen in a few minutes.

:) Excellent- the $50 thing with the discount is gone. But it's been known to show up later in a banner.

The PC+ announcement thread in the Member's Forum states: "Any PC item released July 30th 2014 or earlier will remain $1.99"

Kerya found the products. I had posted the question over in my Art Studio thread by mistake (problem with having two threads open at once) so here's the answer:

Do items like the Medieval cloak stay at the cheap prove for pc members?

If you browse the store with "Show PC items only" ticked and remove the tick for "Hide items I own" with 60 items per page enabled then on page 2, right down the bottom you will see "table Tennis" all items after that are the older catalogue which still has the $1.99 price tag. Any item released after table tennis will show PC plus prices.

And yes the Medieval cloaks were released prior to PC+ coming into being, so are in the $1.99 section

And it is the last ring to get PC Classic, right? Because in 2015, only PC+ will remain...

Not quite sure what you mean there. PC+ is current now. It is the only PC. Those that had prepaid subs for the historic version of the PC in advance have been allowed to choose their own date to convert to the current club, up until the end of July 2015. However since 1st August 2014 it has only been possible to join or renew to PC+

I meant those who were in PC Classic could retain it, but would be automatically turned into PC+ as 2014 ends. So if someone had PC annual bought last January, a conversion would take place on Thursday.

It depends on the renewal date. So 31st July is the cut off date, not 1st Jan

thanks for the info Cho. I must admit my ignorance. Last year I had a rendo prime membership...This year I thought I'd give the pc club a go.

I'm currently thinking about joining PC but I'm quiet confused about memberships.
As I understand there once was a PC and a PC+?
And now when I join it's only PC+ right?
Becaus there is a hint in the informations that there are some PC+ items that an not be bought by pc members.

Another question is, if I join for the 3 month thing only, will that be calender month (so only half the Febuary) or time month (eg 3 times 30 days).

    Thanks in advance

No, it's PC+ now as per the advertisment on the rotating banner. It's not that you can't buy something, it will have a different price depending on whether you are a PC+ or not.

Any reference to PC as against PC+ does not concern new members, as now we only have the PC+. It is just that DAZ 3D decided to allow those who had paid up to a years membership in advance to stay as a member of the old terms for up to a year, rather than convert their membership to the Newer format. They are the only ones who are not eligible for some PC+ benefits.

Your membership starts on the day you join, and your membership will need renewing on the same day in 3 months time. So if you join today you will need to renew on 11th May to keep the membership going.

However you have to be aware that coupons are for the full month so if you join half way through the month you will only have a half of that month in which to use that month's coupons, as the coupons are not carried over, they do go from the 1st of the month to the last day of the month.

Thanks Celilia and Chohole for the quick responses, now i've come up with another question from that:

For the coupons to come on the 1st of a month, does that actually mean there would be 4 coupons if i joined now? Or does the May not count in that case?

(Would be great if there were 4 coupons, that would be a full refund on the expenses )

    Thanks again

nope, only 2 coupons a month, valid from 1st of the month to the last day of the month. So you would need to use the February coupon by the 28th, as the March one starts on the 1st March.

Edited to add that one coupon only works on DAZ Originals, the other works on non new store items, both DO and PA but requires a minimum purchase of $18.

Yes, if you join for 3 months in the middle of February, for example, you can use the Feb, Mar, Apr, and May coupons.
