How can I make DAZStudio recognize New texture/Skin materials?

Can anyone help? Used original files and adjusted colors. So why can I not see the new file in DAZ Studio?

If you used the same filenames, you need to refresh the images -- Ctrl-i on PC, CMD-i on Mac

Or the corner pull down menu in the surface tab has an option for automatically refreshing textures.

(Bug disclaimer: after you change an image a few times, could be 2 or could be 20 times, never know, it will stop auto updating. You can sometimes get it to work by waiting a minute and then resaving the image again, or restarting DS.. there is a more complicated way of fixing it by digging into obscure files but I can't remember what it is right now. Extremely annoying bug for anyone trying to create or alter content.)

The issue is caused by DAZ caching the texture files in its own format after processing them during the render phase, the location of these files is in the DAZ 3D temp folder. The location of the temp folder can be seen under Preferences, General tab. There is no way of clearing the cache from the preferences dialog (only the dson cache can be cleared).

Quitting studio will clear the texture temp files, but I suspect just deleting the temp files manually will leave studio in a confused state. Clearly the cntrl+I method mentioned above remains the best option.

Or just change the name of the new file before loading it - that always helps.
