FW Jake Needs M5?

I just saw the FW Jake HD character on PC+ price, but I noticed that M5 is listed as one of his Required Products. Not that this is a problem for me personally as I have M5, but why is a G1 figure base needed for a G2M character? Is this an error, perhaps?

Doesn't seem to be a mistake. Citing from the product description "This product uses Michael 5 UV Maps"

Since G2M includes the M5 UVset, it doesn't actually need M5

Exactly. If all it needs is M5's UV, then it's still a moot requirement. My concern is mostly that not many new-comers would be savvy to know and end-up spending more money than they need to.

I agree. And all products should list the UVs they use. I often find myself wondering: "This skin is good, the morph isn't my type, can I use this texture alone?". I always download free characters no matter the requirements, because I have nothing to lose, but when buying... a different story obviously.

And Jake shows as $2,79 for me. Bummer, I'm not PC+.

Since it uses the M5 UV maps, you can also buy this only for the skins and use it on Genesis if you don't use G2M or Brodie.

That is the PC+ price, actually. Are you sure you're not a member?
