Another sale not working?

So got the email about the "48 hour red alert sale" that says "Save 65% on daz originals with your platinum club plus discount when you spend $25 or more on new releases" *excludes new releases and pc+ items
So, I added 3 new items (totaling 30, AFTER the 30% off for new items). They are not PC+ just in case.
I added 2 Daz originals - neither new, nor PC+.
The result? Only 30% off of everything.
It just feels like every sale has more rules and requirements, and yet they don't work half the time. I'm still waiting on hearing back from support over the last non-working sale. And right on its heels, another sale that doesn't seem to work. I'm not about to buy something when I'm already waiting for the last two daz support tickets to be handled and I have a feeling Daz is already behind on tickets due to holidays and big sales not working correctly.
I'm just so frustrated! It's like every new sale just makes me cringe and think, "what's going to break this time?"
Anyone else as frustrated as I am with sales that don't work?

...yeah I missed out on getting both the Wood/Metal Shaders bundle and Filter Forge for 50% thanks to the issues with a qualifying item I had in the cart not giving the discount before the last sale expired.
The ironclad sale doesn't stack with the red alert sale. However, I tossed the G2M viking outfit and texture and the space whatever outfit and textures in the cart along with Jayden Pro Bundle and the Jayden bundle drops from around $30 to just over $15. Happens also if I remove the outfits and just toss in the musularity bundle.
I think it's a matter of what falls into the red alert's "new" category. It isn't clear so you may have to play add and subtract items int he cart.
See, it's a game with a million holes and glitches. I dont know the sales of ironclad, but I am just getting the plain ol' 30% off on the new items. 30% off on the Daz O's. So yeah, another sale broken. It feels kind of like Daz doesn't actually want me to buy anything.
Notice the word "play" above.
It all makes sense when you realize that these complicated sales are marketing games. Decide if you really want to play or not. Personally, I groked what they were after the 2nd or 3rd time they made me feel impotent and impoverished and unable to get the big prize. Won't play again, no way, no how. I prefer a good old fashioned simple sale. Anything over 30% gets my attention. Most anything in my wishlist over 70% gets my money! 8-o
Oh, they want you to buy. It's just that they've lost their way and pay too much attention to the marketing department and not enough to the engineering and web/store department.

I haven't bought any of it, I was just putting things in and out of the cart trying to figure out what and was not part of red alert sale.
