Western Outlaw - G2F?

I really like the detail of this product:

http://www.daz3d.com/western-outlaw-for-genesis-2-male-s

However, I don't really have many uses for a male character to wear it. I do, however, very much need something in that style for a female character to wear - and, silly me, I've only just remembered that some clothing auto-fits between genders. :)

So, for those who have it, does it auto-fit to G2F without any problems or are there issues with that?

Hi Xenomorphine! I LOVE this outfit :) Tried it on G2F for you - here's a pic with no postwork, I was impressed by lack of pokethru with this - fitting to G2F seems to add a little crinkling to shirt collar, not really noticeable, poses didn't result in poke-thru. (Also worth noting:. the shirt is half a shirt, the boots were modeled to fit under pants, my guess is to avoid poke-thru when putting the whole outfit together.) Let me know if you'd like to see any more angles. -Cathy

Excellent! Thank you! I sometimes feel like we need a 'does this auto-fit OK to the other gender' thread around here. :) From the looks of it, I could get this for use with a female outlaw character. Could maybe put some darker clothing shaders on the hat and coat for a more villainous look.

I'm curious what you mean when you say the shirt is only half there?

Unless it's obvious with close-ups, I honestly don't even notice distortion on that collar - looks great.

Just need a G2M character/skin to partner with FWSA Wachiwi and this could join them and the Daz Horse 2 for some Genesis 2 Western scenes!

Here's a pic with the shirt without the vest and coat - I did no postwork on this and I am not sure whether the gun belts can be adjusted to fit more snugly without the coat but will check into it. You might be able to see that the collar is sticking up a bit with this pose for her, I doubt it would be very noticable if she had on the coat and vest. (I put a shader on the shirt.) I notice the bullets do that warping thing that happens with models sometimes but I am not sure that can be remedied either. Wasn't sure whether you meant a Native American partner for her, but here is GypsyAngel's Apollo (M6), he makes a pretty nice cowboy. :) Also, I haven't tried this yet to see if it can be worked into a scene where the person is riding a horse or sitting - don't know how that will go with that coat. -Cathy

Oh! Hah! Interesting about the shirt... Wonder why it was designed like that.

Yes, I meant a native American male companion for Wachiwi (I have a couple of applicable shapes, but no relevant G2M skins), but Apollo does suit the cowboy look, you're right. :)

Yeah, figured the bullets might do that. Shame. Should be hide-able with the right pose and lighting, though, hopefully.

Thanks muchly for these examples! This has helped immensely. Looks like I can get it for my female characters without very much issue. Especially with that scarf around the mouth fitting nicely on her.

The shirt is probably designed like the shirt for the Mad Doctor for Genesis. It was not intended to be worn without the vest. Indeed people back then did seem to wear layers of clothes. The ammo belt does have a tighten morph. Doesn't get skin tight all around, but then the real thing didn't either.

Gah... I actually have the Mad Doctor and haven't even played around with it enough to know that. Interesting.

Just thought this could potentially be useful for anyone wanting to do 'Firefly'/'Serenity' fandom art, too. It literally includes a long brown coat, after all.

I might just try that, now I've obtained it.

First thing I did was try this outfit out riding a horse, was very pleased with how the coat worked. I'd post a render but I am at work just now.
