LAMH 64-bit free player created problems with DAZ -- Need Help Please!!!

I was running daz 4.6 and when I tried to use my new eastern dragon LAMH hair, the hair did not appear in the render. So I thought maybe I needed to install the LAMH free player. I downloaded the 64-bit version as that is what my computer is and is also the version of daz programs that I run.
When I installed the player and ran daz I received an error that not all of the files could be located. So I uninstalled the player.
Then the problems began. If I loaded a sphere and then tried to resize it, I would see the bounding box change but the sphere on the screen would remain the same size. If I rendered, the sphere showed the size change, but not on the screen.
So, I figured now was a good time to go ahead and install daz 4.7, which I did. I did not install the version just prior to this 4.7. I skipped over it and went from what I had directly to the latest.
Well, the sphere resizing issue did correct itself. However I am having problems when trying to change other elements.
For example, I have the daz dragon 3 loaded in a scene and when I try to move the neck it is as if the dragon does that exploding thing or also have seen parts of the figure go invisible.
Unable to work with the scene when cannot see what is happening to the figure.
Anyhow, not sure what to do to get back to normal.
Do not want to reinstall lamh player since it was not working anyhow.
Please help!

It's hard to picture what is going on, but you may need to adjust the Tool Settings pane options for During Manipulation, near the bottom of the pane.
you know, since I posted, I have tried other scenes. old scenes are working okay. and new scenes are okay. the problem just seems to now be only happening with this one scene
I am just going to delete that scene and move forward, keeping fingers crossed
thanks for looking
