Aux View and ...

I've been trying to some things done - bought a couple items and haven't heard back on support request and hoping others here have had and resolved these issues

10) My AUX Viewer in DAZ 4.7 seems stuck on a scene. Even if I save and close a scene, it opens and is stuck on an angle from the perspective

2) I purchased Skin Builder Pro and can't find the interface. Checked all the panes, read the product page and suggested pdf tutorial. The tut shows how to operate the interface, only not where to find it. Shows how to adjust preview preferences - installed it twice thru the DIM, just can't find it.

3) I need to know if I can delete my products from the Download folder once they're installed into MyDAZ 3D Library.

4) Last year I purchased Movie Maker and recently purchased the Hollywood Director pack on sale at Dream Light. The DAZ sample packs installed into MyDAZ 3D Library which was installed in my 'Public Documents' folder. Dream Light's tut shows the files need to be installed into the 'My Library' in the program Studio folder. I can't get any of the Movie Maker files to show in DAZ 4.7 and I've installed them both into the DIM installed folders and the Dream Light specs, including the .XML resource folder.

Thanks for any assistance you can give!

Don

Perspective view is not saved along with a scene, only Camera views are saved. Perspective always opens at the default position.

Skin Builder Pro, in part, consists of a set of Scripts, sis you look in the Scripts folder? If you go to the installed tab in DIM, find your item, right click on it, and then select 'Show Installed Files' it will show you where everything was installed to. These links are also clickable.

    3) I need to know if I can delete my products from the Download folder once they’re installed into MyDAZ 3D Library.

In the Ready to Install tab in DIM, there is a check box labelled 'Delete Package Once Installed,' just check that box in future. You can delete any ZIPS that have been already downloaded, but obviously, you will need to re-download them again if you want to reinstall them for any reason.

Sorry, I know nothing about Movie Maker

    Thanks Jimmy,

    1) I am referring to the AUX viewer not the main preview window

    2) Thanks - I received a reply from DAZ support and it's in the product library where you open an icon and the interface comes up but so far, though I'm following the tut specs such as turning on the green SSS materials icon, the character materials are all off and I get a white figure.

    3) Thanks, this will help clear up some hardware space!

Please post a screen shot of the Skin Builder dialogue after setting your options.

Hopefully this will be large enough to view.

Aux Viewport always starts at Perspective Camera in the default position. (Just like the main viewport, presuming you didn't save a camera with a scene you are reopening.)

Most People using DAZ Studio set a render camera, or don't position a camera until they are ready to render. In the first case, simply set your Aux Viewport to that camera. In the second case, you can set that camera at that point for a quick preview, though it is much less useful then. :)

Thanks everyone! DAZ, you nailed it. I forgot the AUX viewport had a separate camera control.

Still looking for help with the Movie Maker files. I always get a popup starting the program saying Movie Maker couldn't complete loading the data and the log file is extremely difficult to follow.

I discovered I had placed the .xml resource files into the wrong Runtime folder within my DAZ 3D. Loads fine now, however I'm having several issues witht he plugin and can't get any support from Dream Light though I paid for their annual membership ($87). I would be interested in purchasing more packs and creating some myself with their Maestro product I also purchased, but feel until I can get some real support it is a mute endeavor.
