Look at my hair imported into vue

I saw from the advertising for the look at my hair free player that it says "Another cool feature is the ability to export to textured OBJ as well (Lux/Reality, Vue, OctaneRender)" so I thought just what I needed as I have the Ape World 2 - Gorilla HD which comes with a look at my hair setting .However as I prefer to do my scenes in vue i wanted to export it to use in vue .when I tried (I just exported as obj with default settings) in vue there is no hair in fact the none look at my hair version looks exactly the same in vue .Is there something Im missing to do when I export it ?The look at my hair is working fine in DAZ studio 4.7 but no hair when exported to vue . Has any one tried this ?

You need to use the "Fiberhair" export function in the LAMH plugin to generate real geometry (the default LAMH hair is using Renderman curves and those are not useable by Vue). Once you have generated the Fiberhair, you can export from DS as usual as .obj and the hair will be there. But be careful: The resulting .obj files can be very large and require lots of ram. My system has 32 Gb so it is usually no problem. Here is the Raccoon with LAMH Fiberhair in Vue.

ok I also have 32 GB of RAM for vue (+ 6GB on the video card) so that shouldnt be a problem but Im not sure where to find “Fiberhair” export function in the LAMH plugin could you point me in the right direction please?
It is the big blue button that says "FIBERHAIR" in the top right of the LAMH window. :)

sorry but is this from the free version or not as i can see nothing like this (or Im looking in the wrong place) although the free version does say quote “Another cool feature is the ability to export to textured OBJ as well (Lux/Reality, Vue, OctaneRender)”
Sorry, no. Mine is the full LAMH version, not the free player. Can't help with that one. Maybe someone else who uses the free one will chime in.

Well I finally got it to work using the gorilla HD from apeworld 2 though I had to edit the materials a bit in vue dosnt look too bad but Ive been trying the moose now but the hair is black , looks like it did on the gorilla which was fine for that so I have to see how to change the colour
