The first lucky break ran earlier today, they are moving fast, so keep checking in to see when the promotion changes. I don't know the exact timing but it is going to change to different promotions faster than our normal promotions.

I received one of these e-mails this morning and clicked to spin and got a code that was good through 10AM Mountain Standard Time (MST) with instructions to check back after that time for a new code.

I wonder if it was after 10AM MST when you clicked for the code. That might explain why you got the second code (which appears to expired at 5PM MST).

Frankly, I think I'm going to ignore this promotion as it is moving too fast and I can only access it from my personal email which is not available when I am at work.

Out of curiosity: what was the first deal?

The one I saw this morning that expired at 10AM MST was for a percentage off of Gift Certificates.

I wonder what the coupon code was like. X-OFF-GC? I'm always interested in such nicknacks, my lingual interests take the better of me in such cases.

I wonder, is there any way to go back later to the "Lucky Break" page that tells you what you get? Are we supposed to scribble the code on a sticky note or something? There isn't a new message in the store system, or anything else obvious. What are we supposed to do if we can't or aren't going to be buying rightthismomentnownownowtakemymoney!!!

A nice idea for a sale, but I can see a lot of people missing out on it. Probably including me.

It would be nice but I tend not to read the emails more than once. I almost forgot about it until I saw this thread.

I wish someone could get some medication for the schizophrenic marketing person who keeps coming up with these sales ideas. Why does the sale methodology change with almost ever sale? Editor's Choice! Punch Cards! Spinning Wheels! Buy One From Col. A, Get One from Col. B!

Half the time (or more) these sales don't work on the website or intersect with a different sale, causing even more confusion.

(Nevermind that it's not much of a "lucky spin" if everyone is getting the same sale.)

Does it have to be non New items?

I was actually surprised to see the email, I thought this type of sales pitch is what in store messaging was incorporated for. if I had seen the one for the GC discount I may have been interested , but if I have a gift card that means I have to spend that money here, and at the moment I am up in the air about where I want to spend.

Yes, I'm afraid so. Not new, not a gift card, not a PC membership.

Of course I bought a $200 GC the other day with no discount.
It always happens if I buy one they go on sale AFTER.
This one I could have lived with as it waa for store credit bought with paypal and my PC+ was due so I ticked recuring use store credit except I was apparently too late and it took it off my credit card.
So I still have the unused store credit that I could have gotten cheaper.

None of the $1.99 items work on the sale. They will be added to get me up to over $50.00 but none will be discounted, giving me a discount of less than 25%.

Guess he forgot to say it does not include pc items either.

I wouldn't say it's fast, exactly. Seems to be going by a 12-hour period.

I'm not at home at the moment, so I don't have access to the email - and I can't find any link to the sale here.

...hmm first one 10% off a gift card

    ..second 25% off of 50$+

...don't need a gift card and rarely if ever spend more than 20$ in single purchase.

Third one just up, looks like 50% off software, providing it hasn't been released in the last 6 months.

Nothing in this sale was a bargain for me, and I will never figure out why there is always a restriction on the amount you have to spend in order to use the coupon to qualify for the sale/coupon whatever.....

Does not give the discount. Haven't checked much else- that was the first thing I tried and it's a no go.

Here's the link to the sale.

Is it newer than 6 months? If so then you're out of luck. I'm still trying to figure out what qualifies -- you'd think they'd only show what actually is eligible for the sale on those pages but it doesn't look that way to me.

I'm confused (nothing new) Where are you getting the 6 months? Is that the "New" length of time? I thought it was shorter than that.
Agree- only things that go in the Lucky sale should be on that page. That isn't the case? For heaven's sake.

    Says right here: http://www.daz3d.com/lucky-break?utm_source=bronto&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Image+-+It's+your+lucky+break,+see+what+you+win!&utm_content=MYSTERY+DEAL+-+Get+Your+Lucky+Break!&utm;_campaign=(1/14/15)+MYSTERY+DEAL+-+Get+Your+Lucky+Break!

The Final Lucky Break - Ends today at 11:59pm MST
*Excludes any software released in the last 6 months.

So I guess the 60 day limit for "New" items does not apply to anything classed as software. Unless maybe it's changed for this sale only?

That isn't unique to DAZ3D - every store that does coupons does "save x on a purchase of y or more". Some offer a flat dollar amount, others offer a percentage off the total purchase, but they all put a lower limit on the amount you have to spend in order to use the coupon.

Does not apply to Carrara 8.5 Pro, and I do believe that's over the 6 month deadline. Or is it not working in my case because I'm seeing the upgrade discount?

Sadie Xprssn Magic is from 2008 according to the ReadMe.

    http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/7495/start

It's in the Lucky sale and not discounting.
