Genesis Character in Poser?

Can somebody please please please give me a link to the instructions of how EXACTLY to open a Genesis character in Poser? I'm wasting a huge amount of time and frustration trying to get this DAZ content to work properly. It would also be helpful if there is instructions about where EXACTLY each file for a product goes.
Thanks!

What I need are official, fool-proof instructions - from begining to finish. It is not only this character I'm having a lot of trouble with.

Am I suppose to open Genesis in DAZstudio and apply the character morphs and skin, and then somehow transport that finished character to Poser?

Another question (bear in mind I don't have Poser, so I can't verify that): do you have Genesis Starter Essentials installed? And Gen2F/Gen2M Starter Essentials too? And did you install the PoserCF files you got with your DSON-compatible purchases?

    EDIT:

Here is the documentation for it: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dson_importer/start.

I upgraded to the new DAZStudio. Does all this get wiped away when you upgrade?

I uninstalled DSON and reinstalled a new download of it.

If I look at the first screencapture, it would seem to me that DSON is installed - and it's working or something. The 2nd screenshot shows the result. In the Genesis 1 Parameters tab, is there a dial hidden somewhere that I'm suppose top turn to get the Infernal Behemoth to show up?

Did you install both the DSON core and the Poser CF files for the Monstrosity? If not you won't have the UVs or the morph, which is what your screen shot shows.

It looks like a UV problem, I'm not sure how you change UV's in Poser.
You could try the rendo Poser forum I know I've seen good advice, if you don't mind weeding out the other comments you might get, on how to use Genesis in Poser.

Are the companion files supposed to be installed somewhere inside DAS Studio, or in the Poser application? There is no "content" folder in Poser.

The contents of the "Content" folders from the zip is what goes in your Poser library location - the runtime merges with the existing Runtime, the Data folder goes alongside the Runtime folder (you probably already have one from the Genesis base files, so it merges with that). This is much easier using the Install manager, as long as you point it to your Poser content library folder.

I did use the install manager. It installed the files in a completey different place. I'll reinstall the install manager and try and point it to Poser.

I've been trying to install this figure and get it to work for 5 hours.

I tried to find out how to change the path for the content installation, and I get this message:

Just wanted to show that the Behemoth does work. I did this picture in Poser over a year ago.

It would be helpful if you told us how you were loading the Behemoth? Are you loading Genesis first, or clicking on the Behemoth character preset? If the latter, it looks to me as if it's just an installation issue, because loading a character preset should load the texture, the UV map, and the shape all at once. Looks like the preset can't find the info for the UV map and the shape.

So the folder where the Behemoth was installed is probably not listed as one of Posers libraries.

Maybe try logging in to DAZ first? I see "login" at the upper right corner.

In Poser I'm clicking the Behemoth icon - not loading Genesis first. I've attached a screenshot of Behemoth that I opened in DAZ Studio - which seems to load fine. I've attached 2 lists - the firs is the locations where the Installer put all the Behemoth files, the 2nd is where it put the Poser Companion files.

Looking at this, I have to say that none of my other Poser files are installed in /Users/Shared/My DAZ 3D Libarry

The Poser files are mostly just reference files, Their primary function is just to put links to DS's .duf files inside Poser's Library for convenient loading. So all of the files are there. The Importer just isn't loading them properly for some reason.

Can you double check to make sure that the "Users/Shared Data/My DAZ 3D Library/Runtime" folder is listed in Poser as one of Poser's runtime libraries.

To change the install location in DIM click the gear icon in the top corner and go to the Installation tab, then click + to add a folder (remembering that you want the folder that holds the Runtime and/or Data folder). Then to make sure the right folder is being used, click the details box in the main DIM interface and you should get a drop-down list to select from. Ideally you want all the Data folder items in one Poser content library.

Okay, thanks everyone. I got the figures working in Poser finally. It took most of the day, and I don't even know what it was that I did that made it finally work.
