Rofl, slow down lass. If you keep jumping up and down like that, you'll wear out your shoes before march arrives, Cath. :p

I Am hoping for a no progressive or BOGO if so I wont be spending much if anything. My budget is so tight without straight sales I don't shop. So I am excited to see what type of sale they come up with :-)

Seconded. No progressive discounts and punches, please... It is not going to work!

Obviously, someone thinks they work or they would not keep running them. I remember them from 2 years ago, about the time that I left the platinum club and stopped regularly visiting the store and forums.

I don't think I have ever purchased enough during any of the punch sales to get any of the promised discounts. I don't always mind the BOGOs though.

Do you want the buy it all thing back again? Where one has to buy stuff they do not want to get the big prize at the end.

how about something like the Las Vegas thing they just did except when you spin the discount you get is based on your spending habits from the previous year...if you spent a lot you get a bigger discount, if you spent less not so big a discount, of course within a min/max amount of course. And maybe if you spent a maximum amount each week of the MM sale you would get a free item... just suggesting something new for the future sales......

Actually, more people take the decision to buy when a sale is simple. Regular freebies, for instance older items DAZ doesn't really profit from, are a great bait. Simple discounts are the best, because you don't have to ponder about the possibilities of savings. And you buy what you like. I, for instance, not being sure about the use of an item (my custom shapes are very uncommon), simply pass until the return policy is back.

Whenever you see a complicated scheme to save you money you can be sure that it's primary purpose is to confuse you and hope you make a mistake and spend more than you intended but lose out on the big prize. It's marketing shysters at their finest. Don't take the bait.

    Think of your phone plan!

Think of your cable TV plan!

For us old timers, remember Green Stamps?

Yeah, somebody will win the big cash savings by being meticulous and by giving in to temptation to buy more than they really wanted but most people will lose. How many billions of Green Stamps ended up in the trash?

...yeah I remember my mum used to do the Green Stamps thing.

The most punches I ever accumulated in a week were 3 and they went away at the beginning of the next week.

Apologies, but I'm not going to purchase content I would rarely if ever use just to get a discount on something else.

The one time I tried a "BOGO" (to get the 50% off Filter Forge) it failed. For once, I found a "qualifying" item I actually wanted but in the once cart with FF, it didn't trigger the discount. Apparently it was one of those infamous site "glitches" where the item no longer qualified for triggering the discount even though it was still listed as so.

...particularly the Flash Sales as they are a flat 60% off of one or more PA stores. There was even one for Stonemason.

My grandmother made good use of her green stamps always turning them in, but she never bought more than she needed just to get the stamps. That being said It took a loooong time to save those up, She would turn them in about once a year.

Now if we could get credit towards anything in the store like a solid dollar amount for say every 5 dollars spent that we could save up and use at the end of the year that might be worth it. With it not being tied to specific items or excluding items and the use of the voucher not being tied to a specific item or excluding items. That might be worth it.

Not sure I would have wanted to be a worker in the Green Stamp book redemption place. Trillions of spit germs passing through my hands every day!!!!! (*yuk*) But I guess back then when we painted on cave walls and had dinosaurs as pets we didn't worry about germs, the kids ate dirt and swam in the swamp and germs hadn't been invented yet.

I used to love helping my grandmother fill those books. AS a kid I kinda liked the taste of the sticky glue on the back of the stamps lol. Hmmm this could explain a lot lol

No swamps but plenty of creeks to swim in :cheese:

"Once upon a time" it was one of the best, as in fun, sales throughout the year. If in reading over all the suggestions people have been making improvements are made, who knows ... maybe we'll get a Millennial Cow and an English Bulldog and gee ... have a nice normal straight forward sale, price is what you see, grab it. 24 hour sales have to be about 36 hours to be fair for all around the globe as I recall.
I still remember getting an item [had nothing to do with season sales] in Fastgrab for something like 24 cents.

...really enjoyed the first couple. Built a good foundation of content from them, and yes, got some items for ridiculously low prices. Was even better as the galleries, contests, and PC gave out vouchers that could be used on either DO or PA items which also stacked with coupons (that had no minimum purchase requirement).
