Smart Content says it's there, but no items come up!

I am using DS 4.7.0.12 & DIM 4.7.0.12 - on a Win 7 64Bit PC.

I want to load "Lisa's Botanicals - Black-Eyed Susan DS" into DS, the Smart Content shows it on a search, but pressing "All" yields nothing. In Content library/Products/L I see it listed, with a list of files - but when I click on a .daz file it tells me it can't find the file in "C:/Program Files (x86)/DAZ Studio/content/Props/Lisa'sBotanials/BlackEyedSusan/LB_BES01.daz"...The only path I have in my Content Management Directory is C:\Users\OrcaSoul\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\...

When I type "Lisa's" in the "Products" search field, I get 19 hits - but Black-eyed Susan is not one of them...although strangely I Do get the "Classic Canines Combo"...

A check of the My DAZ Library shows me Black-Eyed Susan in C:\Users\OrcaSoul\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Support - the correct path, but why in Support?

Also, not sure why, but in the Content Library List, it shows a "(2) LB_BES02.daz" file name - the other products I can load do not show the "(2)"...

And I have uninstalled this in DIM, then downloaded and installed, and it comes out the same way...

What am I missing here?

    Sounds like there's some bad data on a file location -- uninstalling and reinstalling with DIM is only uninstalling and reinstalling the good data, so the bad data is still there. Select all those items that show (2), right-click and choose "Remove Orphaned References" and that should leave you with just the correct location.

    That worked, thanks. Still doesn't show in Smart panel...

    Now, about those doggie pictures...any thoughts?

    Lisa was one of the creators, so it may be tagged with her name.

    That might explain it...I'll have to check the other places where strange content is shown...

    Note that the uninstall/reinstall dance does nothing except waste time. Smart Content (also the Products and Categories views) is not a view of your content files, it's a sorted and filtered view of a database of links pointing to your content files. This database is stored separately from your D|S program and content locations, and it isn't affected by reinstalling, or even uninstalling the program and all content, then reinstalling from scratch. If a bad link gets into the database, it stays there until you remove it using the database controls in the Content Library tab (not Smart Content).

    Got that - learn something new every day .:-)

    On another issue, how hard would it be to implement a larger page size display of the Smart Content - as an option? I'm a bit long in the tooth and these eyes have trouble seeing the current display with the small images and truncated file names - and it would be very helpful to be able to see more on a floating screen. In fact, is this something that could be done with a script?

    If you're looking at the 91x91 pixel thumbnails, I think that's as big as they get (except for the fancy big thumbs used in some display options for the Parameters tab). The filename truncation is very annoying, I agree. I get round it by changing the names to swap out dashes and underlines for actual spaces; since D|S4 the Content tab display has been much better at displaying multiple line names. That isn't always practical, and it's a bit of a hideously long job unless you've been doing it all along as you install new stuff, like I've been doing for years, but every little bit helps.

    So...I am stuck with the hole I have dug all these years of grabbing every freebie I can, even if I had no need of it...:snake:

    And they wondered what I would do when I retired...:lol:
