mcjcollider on mac for send in the clones or other instancing of plants on terrain

Has anyone had success in getting mcjcollider or equivalent to work on a mac ? This script is necessary in order to populate items such as plants on a non totally-flat terrain using 'send in the clones'. I haven't been able to identify an alternative solution to SITC for this purpose and unfortunately the vendor is not familiar with macs. I have tried using 'look at my hair' for this. It seems like a very nice feature in LAMH but I haven't been able to get it to work predictably in that software either but I will go back to figuring it out in LAMH if there is no alternative. Alessandro (the vendor of LAMH) is very responsive to his customers btw so I highly recommend his products.
This is a desperately needed feature in Daz Studio. I'm holding off on moving to Carrara as I don't want to deal with the learning curve of new software right now but with the current sale on I might be tempted.

the test scene will drop 64 trees to terrain level
Very cool, Casual. Thanks.
That will be awesome Casual. I really don't mind it being slow as I would love to be able to use such a script to populate a terrain with plants.
Thanks

Casual has a main thread for this here. Probably would be best to continue the conversation there. :)
In Carrara ( ;-) ) you'd do it with a surface replicator - just attach the replicator to your island, drag the tree onto it and tell it how many you want. Easy peasy! The replicator can also produce real instances of the trees which you can export as an obj and bring back into Daz Studio. (I've done that for a whole bunch of props, plant groups etc)
Definitely works on a Mac.
Yes, thanks, I realize there is lots of other software for instancing. I have Terragen which has awesome instancing features but that program has other limitations. I am relatively new to 3d and my workflow currently involves use of Daz Studio as a conduit for rendering in luxrender via Reality or luxus (yes, I know Carrara has a lux exporter as well). I'm not averse to learning new software but I've invested a fair amount of time with Daz and would like to continue using it until the time comes to make the switch to some other software.
