Asking this again no responses in the past
how do I add a value to Bump in a mtl file?
Wikipediia says -bm #
I have tried find replace _bump with _Bump -bm 0,2 and various other combinations either I lose the bump map altogether in my other software import or all my maps
DAZ studio wavefront obj export has no value for Bump just a map and it imports at 100% I want 20% and cannot change 100's of materials every time as cannot mass select surfaces in many of my apps unlike studio.

If you're replacing all instances of 'bump' with the line 'Bump -bm 0.2' you're also going to lose the maps. The format necessary is bump -bm [amount]. So, if you want a 20% bump map across the surface you'd use.

    bump mytexture.jpg -bm 0.2

By auto-replacing you'd lose the texture file references.

    Ah thx,
I am gonna have to figure out how to do that, maybe in notepad+ where I can put it into nice columns and select easier as find and replace is not going to ignore the texture map name inbetween unless I do something like use a diff format for the bump files like png but that will not save much time!

seems I have to accept not having bump maps at all in my iClone imports of big sets like Faverals as there is no easy way to edit it.
tried notepad plus, can select all the lines begining Bump but cannot figure out how to add -bm 0.2 after just those lines
