Apply material to all?

edited December 1969 in The Commons

There used to be an apply material to all. If I made a white hand I could select in the drop down apply to all parts of the model. Where is that?

Also the background if I want it transparent when I render where is that?

Thanks!

You need to select the whole material setting you created then copy it. You will need to past it to each surface separately unless you have a script to apply it to all of them. Not sure where the script is sold sorry.

They had a place in the drop down of the material editor where you could select a material or edit/make a material and "apply material to all" and it would apply it to everything. It doesn't have it anymore?

Since you're rendering in PNG format, it will transparent background ...

PoserPro2014 does - I don't have 2012 installed to check that. If you aren't seeing the option menu arrow at all check your layout doesn't have something covering it.

I would like transparency in a rendered video. How do I do that?

The film can be exported into frames PNG formats as well,
after that, import the still renders in a video editor ...
I have heard of a certain codec exporting animations poser with transparent background, but I have never found this ...

in the material room you would hold shift when applying, will apply to all material zones for that figure.
