Name That Shape/Skin! No... Really, How Do I?

I've made a number of unique dial-spun characters for various scenes from within Daz Studio, but while you can click on a scene, an item of clothing or even prop and instantly have the smart content tab inform you, more or less, where it came from, this doesn't apply to morphs or, especially, skins.
There's 'Currently Used' in the shaping properties, but that doesn't necessarily tell you, from what I can see, which products the morphs you chose all those days/weeks/months ago, came from. I can do a manual search, laboriously trying to match up the colour/name of the morph tab, but it can be a bit of a slog when you've used something obscure and forgotten which one it is. Any easier ways to get that done?
Same goes for skin. I often mix the skins of different characters with different shapes and I can't see any way (in the surfaces tab or elsewhere) to figure out which product the skin I once used for a particular character was from. Any suggestions?

You could save it as a character preset then unzip and read the duf file in notepad.
Actually most do not even need unzipping
For textures, if you hover over the icon to the left of the property bar in the Surfaces pane you will get a pop-up with the path, which in most cases will tell you which character it was. For morphs, it might be possible to write a script that will find the source morphs' folders which again should give some indication of which pack it was - if I can find time I'll have a look at that, but no promises.
