Is Daz able to achieve this?

Hi folks,

I am interested in doing photos like this: https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photos-attractive-brunette-white-swimwear-undressing-beach-girl-sea-image30636473 or https://www.agefotostock.com/age/en/details-photo/sexy-woman-undress-striped-tank-top/WR0987307 in 3D using Daz. I think I got pretty comfortable with Daz in the past years, but I struggle to find a way to get to these kind of images when you have to tweak clothing so much. Is Daz able to achieve this, and how would you do it? Is the Mesh Grabber capable of doing it, or does dForce have some capabilities here? I was thinking of maybe using dForce with negative gravity to have the shirt move up and then stop at the right point, but haven't tried so far.

Any hint is appreciated!

Thanks!

You'll need to learn how to sculpt in Blender to achieve something like that. Mesh Grabber, a proportional editing tool, is similar to sculpting, but it's not very efficient due to Daz's clunky interface.

Alright, I thought so that I might reach Daz Studio's limits here. Thanks for it, I will check that out and see what I can do.

There are a few clothing sets that include undressing morphs, such as the Everyday series by Aeon Soul:

These look like very complex cloth collisions, so trying to fake it isn't going to look very good.

You need a physics simulator, and I don't know if Blender can do it in real-time, but I think Marvelous Designer has a physics simulator where you can pull vertices in real-time.

Thanks for all your comments! I have bought the Everyday 2 package recently but didn't played around with it too much, but it looks like it is going absolutely into the right direction. I will check that out. Thanks!!

Try using the OptiTex dynamic clothes, starting with the free ones - http://www.optitex-dynamiccloth.com/FreebieDownload01.php - Many of them have multiple shape options.

You dont need to have your character wear it, just pose the character and manually pose the cloth then drape.  I realize is say that kinda loosely but OptiTex cloth know its own shape and will not warp out of shape.  Its a different workflow than dForce but ti can give you some really good results when you learn how it works.  One of the really good things about it is that you can run multiple drapes back to back without restarting the entire thing.  You can also go from a static drape to an animated drape to a static drape with ease.  Also works really well with its own wind nodes.
