I have one questions , since there is no PDF or any note in the Subsurface Toolbox to explain how to use the product.

Do I need to apply AoA's Subsurface shader before I use 3Dimensions Toolbox?

Is this what you mean : http://www.daz3d.com/dsf-toolbox ?

It has nothing to do with Subsurface Shaders. It is for :

    Details

The DSF Toolbox contains seven tools to work with DSF files for DAZ Studio 4 and up:
Dsf2Obj: Extracts the geometry from a DSF geometry file as Wavefront OBJ file.
Obj2UV: Converts the UV-mapping from an OBJ file to an UV-set in DSF format.
Obj2Morph: Creates a DSF morph file from a morphed OBJ geometry.
Clone2Morph: Translates the hidden clone morphs into real working morphs.
Channel: Editor for channel parameters of morph and controller files in DSF format.
Asset Info: Editor for the asset info contained in DSF files.
Compress: Compress and decompress DSF files.

There is a PDF called 13755_dsf-toolbox.pdf that comes with it.

You did say 3Dimension, the link you gave is for a Dimension Theory product, hence my confusion.

It says on the Product Page that :Subsurface Shader Base is a required product

    It also says

Designed to be an all-around utility set, this pack will get you started using the new subsurface shader from Age of Armour

The AoA shader is free with DAZ Studio, so you should have it already, but according to the Porduct Page, yes, this is necessary

    Thank, you.:)
I am aware that I need to have the AoA Subsurface shader that comes with DS BUT my question was if I need to apply it before I use the options of the Toolbox?

Since there is NO user Manual, tutorial this is not easy.

I don't have this item, but from reading the product page, it seems to be a set of tools to augment the SSS shaders, so, yes, I would say you need to apply SSS first since it uses many of the attributes of that shader which would not be available anywhere else.

It should be simple enough to test, apply the SSS shader first, then change it using the toolbox. If that doesn't work, apply the toolbox shader first then the SSS.

Dimension Theory pops into the forums here, but if you want a quicker answer, you could send him a PM (Personal Mail) from the site here, and also ask about documentation.

The presets automatically apply the shader - like any shader preset, the only thing you need to do is select the object you're using in the scene and select the surface(s) you want to change in the Surfaces tab.

Oh thank you so much Melanie, that is great to know.
I am a bit slow when it comes to shaders, I make a right mess of them. sighhh
It seems complicated with all those presets.

Actually one of the best sources of information is in the promo images for the product - I saved the set of images and they explain (at least a bit) what the different presets are for. You can just add some surface detail to surfaces which already have diffuse maps, for example, or add colour, ... I've only scratched the surface myself so far! (Pardon the pun)

That is a fantastic Idea, I shall have a look at the promo Images.

A lot of characters already come with SSS.

In Poser it is very easy using EZSking for SSS, very simple, but the work with Genesis in Poser is not as good as in DS.

Oh well, one never stops learning.

Thank you sooo much for your help.
