Site layout and design for shopping

Ever since DS changed the layout and design of the site it has been horrible for shopping. I type in the search for items I am interested in and I am given multiple choices with no real results. I still have to search in each category to find what I am looking for, which makes for a very unpleasant experience. As a user it is very unfriendly, when you first open up the site I am shown products that are featured or on sale, However when you click on the item, it doesn't take you to sale items, but a whole other catalog of items that make almost no sense at all. Also if you want to funnel down to find clothes, or props it is nearly impossible. Search options are by Artist, Genre, or figure. If you click on V4 you get everything for V4 and no option to search for just clothes. If you type in clothes in the search you get all clothes in different categories but don't have the option to select for a specific figure. It really is a horrible shopping experience, after spending 20-30 minutes just trying to find something that is needed, I get frustrated and look on other sites such as Rendo. where at least I can type in the search what I am looking for and guess what comes up.. exactly what I am looking for. SMH.

Rendo...? Tell me you're kidding. Their search engine is horrendous. You can't even search for items for specific figures without going through a million sub categories. Ahem, but I digress.
All of the original functionality is preserved in the new Daz Store. Though, I'll freely admit it isn't nearly as obvious as it used to be. Go to the store and notice at the very top of the screen you now have a grey bar. This displays the following categories: All > People and Wearables > Animals and Creatures > Places and Things > Animations and Props > Resources and Add-Ons > Vendor.
In short, this will narrow down your searches for figures, clothes, animals, environments and etceteras. You can then use the secondary filters to look for items only for a specific figure, from a specific vendor, or with a specific theme. The store will handily hide anything you've already purchased as well, so no more watering the lists down with tons of items.
Hopefully this will help you navigate the store a bit easier. Again, I'll admit it's not as intuitive as it used to be. Having all of the search functions in one part of the screen makes SO much more sense than currently. Still, it does the job well enough once you've figured it out.
