Accidentally too early? I usually get the new release email at this time every day. Nothing yet. But I have the bundles pages up in the tabs, so can still see the products.
Prices do this EVERY SINGLE TIME on new release. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
You know, if I was a first time DAZ buyer, and I stumbled across the store just as new releases were going up, and everything said FREE as the price, and then spent 20 minutes wondering why they weren't.....I don't think I'd be back to buy here. It's shoddy.
Now everything is up ... at full price! :D
Lesson I have learnt over the past year - NEVER NEVER EVER buy as soon as new releases are up. NEVER. There are always price errors, without fail.
New releases go up about 5pm my time (australia time). I always wait till the next morning for me, before i purchase anything.
The promo email arrived too. Says 30% so....wait a little ;)

yippie, another UV map! *eye roll* Okay maybe this time its justified because of the extreme ish body shape, but at least 70% of the other body shapes did not need a new UV map and I'm so sick of the UV map game...
She's adorable, i'll give that. But it's that thing where, if you can't afford the base, you can't get the rest because it requires the base, so oh well.
Also, wouldn't it be freaking fantabulously awesome if someday we could make our OWN bundles??? I mean, 99% of the time, the starter bundles don't have the few items i want so they don't appeal. Wouldn't it be great to be like, "get the base, pick 1 or 2 hair, 1 or 2 skin, 1 or two outfit, and get this discount" because that would totally rock my boat waaaaaaaaaaay more than the bundles they set up for us. *sigh*

Yeah - the pricing is just starting to shake out, but I'm off to bed - everything is showing 30% discount, which doesn't match to previous DZ-O for PC and PC+ members - and the mega-manga bundle only includes a hair, a pose set, and a couple of outfits - but the thumbnails include all the starter bundle - and at the bottom as 'you may also be interested in' are the starter and pro bundles.
Tomorrow.

The mega-manga bundle includes the pro bundle which includes the starter bundle plus what's leftover on the front page.

I noticed there are no texture for the outfits...those will probably come tomorrow.
I had some left in a gift certificate so I grabbed it. Just finished installing. If the price is wrong (30%) I'll have to have it taken care of.
You should be seeing the prices with discounts now. Remember to log out and back in if you don't see the discounts.
Also PC discount does not apply up to now.
And I hope they do not forget the promised extra 20% off if you bought - just don't remember what - a few weeks ago :-S

When it was released it was said that the ones who would buy this set would get a 20% off reduction on Keiko 6 (said "to be released next month" - I mean January 2015 since the set was released in December 2014). I bought it because it is nice but also to get the reduction...

Even before the discount if you bought the whole lost-temple there was one for filling up those candy things in the previous sale(s).
This is a quickie, meaning it's small in size (took 12 minutes). Keiko with Effie morphs, Sakura Skin, and Jazmin Hair. I used the light set (with AoA) that came with FWF Sakura.
Haven't dressed her yet. It's so hard to find the new new stuff amongs all the other content. Going back and forth from Smart Content, to Content tab, to DIM, to Explorer. Sheesh.

V4/M4 base were $30 and additional shapes were $25.
Generation 5 stuff was about $40 for most shapes but a couple were 30 (like David).
Generation 6 stuff is $45 for each base.
So yes, prices are rising.
It's more noticeable with Genesis 2, because of a few reasons. One, the sheer multitude of shapes mean we see the prices more often. 2. because every shape somehow warrants a new UV, it makes each shape somehow necessary, so the costs stack up, FAST. 3. A lot of the shapes come from the "buy everything during this period and then get a discount when we release a new figure" which means you buy a whole ton of stuff (hear the money goin down the drain?) and then get a bit of discount on a still hugely expensive bundle (more money down the drain) or else staring at the full price bundle. 4. While with genesis 1, you could buy a shape and use it for child, male, and female, on genesis 2 you're set back several years in convenience and have to buy textures for each gender and child shapes. And a million UV maps, apparently. So what Genesis did for us in Value and convenience, Genesis 2 took away and triple in cost to consumers (but probably worth the extra income to Daz stores). 5. Not only are there way more shapes/UVs for genesis 2, they are being released much faster, with less time between characters, than I recall Genesis 1 characters or V4 characters being released. I could be wrong- my sense of time since becoming a parent has been in perpetual fast-forward speed, but that's how it feels to me.
Overall, the cost of sticking with genesis has become prohibitive. While I adore genesis and the capabilities, i went back to genesis 1 for the most part, and V4. I just can't do the expensive shapes game for genesis 2.
I still have a couple things with Genesis 2. i just can't use it much. i never got the autofit to work for genesis 2- tis totally broken and anything i try to autofit from genesis to genesis 2 mangles horribly. Not really interested in buying a whole new warddrobe, so there's yet another drawback for me personally. I use dynamics for her in the rare times I use her. And I haven't even installed Genesis 2 male. >.> I have very few sets for Genesis female.... Domina is one that I like. I also caved and got Mei Lin for the sole purpose of buying Min Seo, which is probably the most beautiful character for Genesis 2 (that's of course my very subjective opinion, and i live in Asia, so I'm biased. very.) I have a few other shapes but really not sold in general on Genesis 2 and its soaring cost.
With the rare exception, i wait for a major sale before I buy genesis 2 items. And convert as much as I can to Genesis or V4. ^^;;;
Well I will be waiting for a while after doing exchanges rates and all I am looking at a whopping $162 AUD for the mega pack even the pro pack is getting close to $120 AUD.. So will be waiting for a long while I think..

Got the gen 4 bases for free and never jumped on the genesis bandwagon.. and I'm glad I didn't! All the money I have saved on those bases I have instead spent on 'actual' content, which I believe benefits most vendors far more.. if I were to buy all those bases there would be no money left for anything else. After all, for MOST of us, this is just a hobby!

Yeah has me wondering on the price too, I mean when all the other base figures ie: Mei Lin 6, Aiko 6, Stephanie 6 and so on were released they were not that expensive.. Maybe costs have gone up I don't know but I will be waiting a while since they are super expensive at the moment due to our dollar falling..
The prices indeed soared, probably because your native currency is falling. I "bought" V6 during her birthday for $40 off. Now, I think the price is $45.
I guess that, had DAZ announced the increase, people would have been flocking and making income flow mightily ;). But people will still buy, I suppose.

They updated the prices of all daz products beginning january, they are now all 5% to 10% more expensive. You just see it only now.
Not every price increased I think, the Gen 5 products are the same price (at least they were the last time I looked). However all the Gen 6 pro packs went up 10$, and a number of other PA and DO products did as well.
Looks like Aiko has a little competition...
