What your screenshot shows is the .dsf file, in data.

What I suspect is that your DAZ Studio doesn't have the path ( Content Library) where things are installed configured. Got to preferences Content Library and click the [Content Directory Manager...]-button.

If you are install the zip files by hand do not extract the "Content" folder extract the files and folder inside.

Warning!!! Techno babble follows: Notice that the error dialogue shows only a partial path, this know as "relative addressing". Relative addressing allows a program to access library files from anywhere (with some OS exceptions) the end user chooses to install their library as long the program knows where that library (or libraries as Studio can have multiple) is. So if you had a secondary or tertiary hard drive that was for data and you installed you library to it you would need to point Studio to that drive and library in the Content Directory Manager in Studio.

There is definitely something very wrong with your Content Directory Manager settings; you should never be able to see the "data" and "Runtime" folders (among others) in the Content Library tab. Also, "My Library" as seen in that tab must never be a subfolder of anything, it should be the top level in the DAZ Studio Formats section.

Can you open the Content Directory Manager dialog, open the DAZ Studio and Poser Formats sections, and post a screenshot?

You also have a "Content" folder inside the "My Library" folder; this is an installation error, and will cause a lot of "can't find file" glitches. As mentioned upthread, the installation zips start with a "Content" folder — this must not be extracted directly into your content location, what you need is the contents of the "Content" folder.

Hi! I have a tutorial for proper manual installation of DS files that will help:

I ran into this issue also. At first I just thought it was another of the many aggravations new since the switch to the ps-I'm-squirrelly CMS although, it seems to have been caused by file download corruption instead. I am guessing that the file DIM d/Ls is the same file available to us for manual d/L. (why would they waste space storing duplicates?) In the case pictured, it was solved by manually downloading and installing the shirt in question.

The shirt was originally installed through DIM. I tried an uninstall and reinstall, same problem. Suspicious of a corrupt file download, (it happen), I deleted the package files then uninstalled hoping to just re-download and reinstall through DIM.. N0-go DIM would no longer see the shirt
After a manual d/L and install, [Into the identical folder], all is well, the data file is now "seen"; however, the meta data is no longer working. I don't want to take the time to find the package in the Long long list and have it reread the metadata.. In the future I'll do a manual download of the package then find the missing data folder & just replace the file DAZ can't see. All I wanted to do was create a CF of the shirt to use in poser!

Was my organised daz library/wearables/clothes genesis/ a DAZ Studio content directory? The data folder cannot be in a sub-folder of a content directory.
