New and old DAZ file formats

Sometimes I see different file formats for the old DAZ exe files in my Product library. Meanwhile I use mostly the Download Manager Files after changing a little bit my opinion about that program. But please can anyone explain what the different files are for and how they match or where they are in the new IM-files?

_ds
_expa
_tx
ps_tx
metadata

    dpc - either Poser or geenral purpose, it's the default
    ds - DAZ Studio, either a full installer or settings to go with the dpc version
    expa - ExP moprh expansion for a fourth generation figure
    tx - textures, might be used along with separate installers for the Poser/DS/Carrara material settings to avoid duplication
    ps_tx - a texture set, as opposed to a base product
    metadata - DAZ Studio metadata, so that the file appears in Smart Content, not usually needed unless you already have a pre-metadata installer for the item
