daz studio 4.5 tech support

i do not know where this goes so i'm dumping it in here
i have installed all DAZ 3D software(daz studio 4.5, hexagon 2, bryce 7.1) and every time i try to install the genesis package for daz studio 4.5 using the install manager i have to pull the plug on my computer and hard boot it how do i fix the problem?

    Does the Install Manager become unresponsive? Is your computer freezing up? Do you get an error message?
    Which Genesis package are you referring to? The Essentials pack is rather large and takes a little while to download.

    The latest version of DAZ Studio is 4,7,0,12, so installing 4.5 is not a good idea. Make sure that you are not running DAZ Studio when you try to install content. Where did you install the DAZ Install Manager (DIM) to? Are you able to login using the DIM?

    i installed the manager useing non custom settings i am running nothing when trying to instal it it is the genesis essentials package and i can log into it and install everything else perfectly fine as to the version i got it a few year ago when daz studio was giveing away there software for free and my computer compleatly locks up

    Download and install the latest version of DAZ Studio, it is still free (although Bryce and Hexagon are not). You should be able to log in to the Store using the little blue man icon at the top right of the store page, then go to Product Library, and re-download DAZ Studio.

    Anything that you have already bought (free or not) will still be available in your Product Library.

    There have been major changes to DAZ Studio, and Genesis Starter Essentials since 4.5, so that may well be your problem.

    Where are you installing the content to? What operating system are you using?

    Be sure Install After Download box is not checked as trying install a huge file while simultaneously downloading other equally huge files is often to much for DIM to handle.
