I need help with modeling service for 3D-models

Hi folks.

I am pretty new here. I don't know much about DAZ Studio. But I need it for making 3D-printings. What I got so far is a ~300 mm model of a standard DAZ body in a standard DAZ pose.

ROFL! It was just the starting model from DAZ Studio. Now it's removed for nudity? No nipples, nothing ... just what I got when I started DAZ Studio. Are you stupid folks? Yes, you ARE stupid.

    Hello, I'm pretty new here. My main theme is 3D-printing and I need help!
    What I whant to do are nice big 3D-printings of my favorite. I started with a standard DAZ-model and a standard DAZ-pose. It is kinda 300 mm long:

    LOL, and so it begins. DAZ just updated their EULA to allow for personal 3D printing, so most here are new to the process. None of the DAZ models can be used for any commercial 3D printing uses yet.

    You really don't "need" it for 3D printing. DS is just a rendering app that you use for rendering and animating DAZ mesh assets. Any modeling or rendering app that exports to the ,STL (or .OBJ in some cases) format that your 3D printer uses can be used. You will need to make sure that your mesh is manifold or watertight.

    What I really want is another model. And I'm looking for someone who can make it for me. I'll pay for the service and for content if necessary. It should be something like this:

    The V6 3D print that is being sent out uses the base Genesis 2 mesh with V6 morph applied. I don't remember what texture. It uses one of the hairs that comes with the Aiko6 bundle, Smay's Genesis 2 Females superhero suit and the guns from the HardCore set (originally for Micheal 3 but refit for Micheal 4).

    To create the second picture you will need an outfit that comes close to what you want, hair, skin texture and whatever other props. If you are using DS for setting up your figures for 3D printing what you see in the viewport is pretty much what you get. If you load a stock base mesh with no texture in a stock pose and export, that's pretty much what you will get.

    Oh well, did I get this right? DAZ don't want their models printed? Sounds pretty stupid to me.
    Alas, is someone here who can make the models I want for me with some software of his choice?

    You can do it for personal use, just not commercial. Considering the amount of time, resources and money involved in making their mesh content, it's not stupid at all to have some restrictions in place to protect their work. Looks like there will be a commercial license coming sometime soon, until then there are plenty of places with mesh content and people who do custom content outside of the DS/poser community.

    kk ... it's for private purpose only, not commercial. But that's all to boring to me. I just asked for a modeler who can help me. I'm not willing to make it by myself.

    And hey! That the picture of a DAZ-Studio standard model was removed here (nudity) tells me enough about this forum. Have fun with your forum ;-)

    And you can make something like it. All you need to is check out the catalog here and at other brokerages to find the outfit you need. You may have to combine several different parts of several outfits to get it. The different parts may need to be retextured to match. There is a wide selection of hair, skin texture and face/body morphs to chose from. Poses too.

    How much do you think you would have to pay for a set of custom clothing models like you show above?

    What exactly is needed: a render or something else? Because if it's just a render, then anyone here can make it - if he or she takes the commission, of course.

    I just need the poor 3D-model. No rendering nor something else. It's not easy because we can't use opacity- or bumpmapping. The printer-software couldn't handle it. A very special problem will be the hair ...

    But alas ... I won't tell you to much details. You all here don't know much about 3D-printing and modeling for 3D-prints. And you are not really interested in and DAZ plays a very bad role in that game. Simply forget DAZ. You may contact me if you feel you can help me in a serious way.     Its kind of hard to know if its possible to fulfill your needs with a description that lacks detail of your exact requirements. If you would be so kind as to add a more detailed description of what you need it may be easier for people to help. Calypso...

    As far as Daz Studio and 3D printing goes its early days but I expect there will be an interesting future ahead as far as connecting the Dazverse with 3D printing.

    There is some details here for the forum TOS which contains the details regarding nudity in images which you may find helpful.
