how do i get a color from my scene into a diffuse channel?

is there a color picker tool for select color dialog? or some other way?

    No there is not. I read once why but can't recall the exact reason. I use "colorcop" for all my color picker needs. You still have to input the numeric values in Studio but you can choose the color from pretty much anywhere.

    The reason is that Daz Studio's color dialog is from a 3rd-party and it was the best all-round picker. Years ago, I requested the ability to pick colors from the scene, but was told it meant changing the entire picker, so it wasn't going to happen.

    I use Color Cop too.

    Btw, I don't know if you've ever noticed, but the DS picker an actually do some handy things. For instance, you don't need to click on Add To Custom Colors - you can simply drag the color you've chosen anto any custom color box. You can also drag them around to rearrange them, or drag colors from the upper basic section into custom.
