If they handle it as my packages then better to put the cake into plastic container or it will not survive , often the delivery guy play basketball with the packages ..angry

Yes, I learned that the HDRI file shows up in reflections even if I don't have it set for backgrounds. Very important for me to learn.

I learned that from your experiment, too. Thanks for posting about it.

And that is correct observation , like in real world everything reflect light no matter the surface .. beside black holes and dark matter lol  each object absorb or reflect the light and the colors you see is the wave length reflection that does not get absorbed so a red ball for example absorbed just green and blue light but not red , Like in real situation HDRI light in Iray (the sun) shooting photons on the surfaces and what you see is what was not absorbed by the surface as it bounced back to your eyes converting the gray scale light wave length into color by your brain, yes the world is black and white in reality , color blind people see the world the way it looks for real.  If the refection was not there you would get black square for a render as even the green skirt is a light reflection mirror  just blurred so you don't see the reflected details, the best way to learn Iray is to observe the world around you as it works the same way , it is rather a light simulation than rendering and everything we see is just a light projection like a real time movie ..welcome to the real Matrix ! lol nothing is what it seems ..

The real world? Is that the place on the other side of the glass mesh that always has the really bright light in the skydome and the Most Excellent shaders?

And the resolution of graphics is pretty darn amazing too. They gotta be at least 8K, I think. Plus, the selection of morphs for Vickys and Mikes are amazing! Too bad that tweaking them is such a chore. But the bends are astonishingly natural, and there's softbody physics too. Sort of like the particle physics as well, rain looks so pretty.
  • Darn I missed getting the underwater hair.

Yeah, but I hear there's no autofit... :p On the plus side, the Iray renders are instantaneous! --MW

Does anyone know how to tweak that Big Light on the Sky? There's a bit of overexposure going. And Vicky is turning curiously reddish after couple of hours, what's up with that? Is that subsurface scattering gone wrong, or something else?

give it couple of years, the nice tan will build up even on a lightest skin if exposed regularly ;)

You should probably switch to the Nighttime Preset for Iray, but apparently you can only do that like every 12 hours... --MW

They tell me the dome is rotating continuously, and really fast, but I can't see it change at all. My sister who lives up north says it changes drastically for her every 3 month.
