Maclean's Everyday Drinks are done nicely for Iray I have the set , glass need to be set to volumetric to work correctly not just the ior as it was with 3Delight , but not big deal with that, but Maclean did good job with the glass

I used the champagne bottle and different flutes in another render (in my gallery) and I was really impressed with the way they turned out. And all I had to do was place them where I wanted in the scene. No fiddling required. I like that.

But what I really want to know is...

Cath, will we see a new product from you in the PA Festival?

soon you will get enough of my products I promise lol

Then I won't worry about running out of money. lol

Any hints about what those products will be? (I recall you were doing great things with eyes a few months back. And skin shaders. You mentioned elsewhere about waiting on M7 to do male skin shaders... Any female shaders in the works?)

    Inquiring minds want to know!

Female shaders would be extremely nice. I've got a sort of toon shader working now, but getting any sort of realistic skin shader working is, for me, an exercise in frustration.

There is not magic skin shader that will works the same way with all textures in Iray as the set need a lot of custom maps correspond with the skin , I am not going to spoil my upcoming  surprise products so sorry you will have to wait for the releases . :)  one thing I can tell you, it is going to be better than anything before :)  a lot of work , many different products genres and themes  , working on the products for last 2 months so I guess you can hold little longer

Which is why I'm waiting for your skin shader product(s). I want my figures to look like yours did back when 4.8 was still in beta!

Probably not a bad thing. I'll have time to make some more money so, hopefully, I can afford your stuff!

    Champagne Nymph by L'Adair

Something a little different, and an excuse to use the Underwater Hair. I made the hair emmissive, so it would show up through the liquid and the bottle, both with refraction—Luminance: 10; Luminance Units: W; Luminous Efficacy (lm/W): 1.5. The computer sure didn't like something, either all the emmissives I used, or all the refraction, (the house I used has lots and lots of windows.) After 5 hours, (cpu only,) it still hadn't reached 1% convergence. I kept thinking about Cath's dual Titan X system and wishing I had one, too. I did  a lot of post-work to camouflage the excessive grain and I entered it in the weekly pc+ contest anyway. lol

I hope you like it, Cath.

    Nice render L'adair!

Just one small point. With the cork in the champagne bottle, you could have used the 'Seal Off' preset to change it to an opened bottle. With the seal on, it's unopened.

But I love how you used the bubbles prop inside the bottle.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.

I intended for the bottle to be sealed. The bottle actually loaded with the seal off, I had to go looking to put it back on. lol... The bubbles are two separate props, the one for the tall glass is topped by the one in a cone shape. I had to fiddle with the scale to get them to look consistent, so the bubbles on top are a bit larger and more dense then those around the nymph. I also used a slight amount of emmissives so the bubbles showed up. I had to change the color of the bottle and remove the top coat, too. Both worked to make wonderful reflections, but it was almost impossible to see the nymph.

I got the idea from something you said in the other thread, about my other render using a champagne bottle. Thanks for the inspiration.

Yeah Anita, it is hard to see anything inside champagne bottle in real live , that why they make it green so no light affect the content inside lol but you managed it great as well

It was not really typical 80's just more classic suit, and when everything is ready you get a copy as promised smiley

Used the mullet hair in a render for the PC+ contests. Here's a closeup:

Baggage by L'Adair, partial featuring the man.

Here's a link to the full render: http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/images/87088/

I made the hair as short as possible, put the bangs up, and added shine trying to get that glossy, oiled in place look of another era. I got shine, anyway. lol

As an aside, the mustache is from Unshaven for Genesis. Even though the figure is G2M, Sebastian, his face is narrow and I couldn't completely hide the stubble with Unshaven 2. At least, it still showed in the preview window. I didn't try rendering it.

The mullet is such a versatile piece. I hope you are planning on making it a buy-able product, Cath. With so few good hair content for males, (by good, I mean looks good/realistic in Iray,) I'm sure it would sell very well.

L'Adair great image! The pose of the character is just perfect.

    Thank you.

I really can't take credit for the pose, though. It's "Baffled" from Everyday Male Poses for Michael 6. And the included morph for the Grantham jacket fit the hand perfectly. I think it is the first time I've used a pose without having to modify it extensively to fit the scene or the clothes. I did tweak the expression, dialing in a bit of "confused" and turning the corners of his mouth down. And I think I tweaked his left leg a tiny bit to allow his foot to be on top of the threshold, (although you wouldn't see that in this cropped image.)

I like starting with a pose and making changes so no one else has the exact same pose. But it's kind of nice, once in a while, to have a pose be exactly what I need, right "out of the box."

Are you ready for the next freebie of the week ? 70s-80s-90s Disco Jumpsuit for G2F with 27 Iray mat preset, 11 adjustment morphs and tools for hide parts

the material tilling is under each base color , it seems like material tools reset it and it may be a bug in DS , but if you want to use your own texture just right click on the textures and choice Image editor and change the tiling in place of use general tilling as it will tile the suit normal maps for wrinkles  and we don't want that

sending now to MBusch for DIM and Metadata , download link will be here shortly

    I hope u like

    Cath
